All-Electric DENZA Z9GT Arrives in the UK with £105,000 Starting Price

DENZA has officially announced UK pricing for the new Z9GT, the premium shooting brake that leads the brand’s entry into the British market. Following its European debut in Paris, the flagship model is now available to order in the UK, bringing cutting-edge technology, impressive performance and a high level of standard equipment.

The Z9GT will be offered with both an all-electric powertrain and a plug-in hybrid option, giving buyers a choice between maximum electric performance and extended long-distance capability.

All-Electric Z9GT Delivers Supercar Performance

The fully electric DENZA Z9GT starts from £105,000 (MRRP) and features an advanced three-motor drivetrain with one electric motor at the front and two at the rear.

Together, the system produces 1,140 HP and 1,210 Nm of torque, enabling the Z9GT to sprint from 0-62 mph in just 2.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 167 mph.

Power comes from a 122 kWh battery, which provides a WLTP driving range of up to 373 miles, making the Z9GT one of the longest-range premium electric performance cars in its segment.

Plug-in Hybrid Variant Offers Up to 500 Miles of Combined Range

A Super DM plug-in hybrid version will join the lineup at a later date with prices starting from £95,000.

The hybrid combines three electric motors with a 63.82 kWh battery and a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. In electric-only mode, the Z9GT DM can travel up to 126 miles, while the combined driving range reaches up to 500 miles with a fully charged battery and full fuel tank.

The powertrain produces 776 PS and 1,035 Nm of torque, allowing the plug-in hybrid to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 161 mph.

FLASH Charging Brings Ultra-Fast Charging to the UK

The Z9GT is the first BYD Group model in the UK to feature FLASH Charging technology.

The system supports charging speeds of up to 1,500 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes. A 10% to 97% charge takes only nine minutes, adding the equivalent of 323 miles of WLTP range.

DENZA also says the battery maintains impressive charging performance in cold weather, reaching 20% to 97% in approximately 12 minutes at temperatures as low as -30°C. The same charging capability is available on the plug-in hybrid model.

Advanced Chassis Technology Enhances Comfort and Agility

The Z9GT is built on DENZA’s dedicated e³ platform, which introduces several advanced chassis technologies designed to improve both handling and safety.

The DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension automatically adjusts between comfort-focused and sport-oriented settings depending on driving conditions. Integrated with the brand’s Vehicle Motion Control (VMC) system, the suspension communicates with the steering and braking systems in as little as 10 milliseconds.

This rapid response allows the vehicle to maintain stability even during a tyre blowout, helping keep the car safely within its lane at speeds of up to 112 mph.

Rear-wheel steering further improves manoeuvrability by allowing the rear wheels to turn independently. The technology enables features such as crab walking, 360-degree compass turns, and an exceptionally tight 5.35-metre turning circle, comparable to many compact city cars.

The Z9GT also includes an intelligent parking assistant capable of automatically identifying a parking space and reversing into it. The function can be operated from inside the vehicle or remotely using a smartphone app.

Luxury Interior Comes Well Equipped

DENZA has equipped the Z9GT with an extensive list of premium features as standard.

The cabin features Nappa leather upholstery, while the front and outer rear seats include heating, ventilation and massage functions. Rear passengers also benefit from reclining seatbacks and extendable leg rests for enhanced long-distance comfort.

Entertainment is handled by a 20-speaker Devialet premium audio system delivering 1,150 watts of output with Dolby Atmos surround sound technology.

A refrigerated storage compartment positioned between the front seats can cool items to between -6°C and 6°C or warm them from 35°C to 50°C, adding another luxury touch for everyday driving and longer journeys.

Personalisation Options

Although the Z9GT is generously equipped as standard, buyers can further personalise their vehicle.

Optional digital side mirrors are available for £1,600, while 21-inch alloy wheels can replace the standard 20-inch wheels for £2,500.

Customers can choose from seven exterior colours. Obsidian Black, Sandstone Silver and Snow White are included at no extra cost, while Emerald Green, Dolomite Slate and Midnight Blue are priced at £2,500. Two matte finishes—Matte Copper and Matte Shadow Black—are available for £4,500.

A Technology-Focused Flagship

With its combination of supercar-level performance, long driving range, ultra-fast charging capabilities and innovative chassis technology, the DENZA Z9GT marks an ambitious start for the BYD-owned premium brand in the UK. The flagship shooting brake is positioned to compete with established luxury electric vehicles by offering advanced technology, high-end comfort and strong performance in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid forms.
