Lucid Gravity Achieves 720 km in NAF Summer El Prix, Leading Seven-Seat SUVs

Lucid Group has added another impressive achievement to its growing list of electric vehicle milestones. The Lucid Gravity Grand Touring recorded the longest driving distance among all seven-seat SUVs in the 2026 NAF Summer El Prix, covering 720 kilometers on a single charge under real-world driving conditions.

The result also secured the second-longest overall range in this year’s competition, reinforcing Lucid’s reputation as a leader in EV efficiency and long-distance capability.

Real-World Range Test Across Norway

The NAF Summer El Prix is widely regarded as one of the most demanding real-world EV evaluations. Organized by Norway’s Automobile Federation (NAF) and Motor magazine, the event tests electric vehicles in everyday driving conditions without any charging stops.

This year’s route began in Oslo and included a mix of city traffic, highways, mountain roads, and secondary roads before reaching Norway’s scenic highlands. Vehicles that travel the greatest distances also tackle the highest elevations, making the challenge particularly demanding for efficiency and battery performance.

A total of 24 electric vehicles participated in the 2026 Summer El Prix.

Lawrence Hamilton, President of Europe at Lucid, said the test marked the first comparison event for the Gravity following its European launch and highlighted the SUV’s leadership in range among premium seven-seat electric SUVs.

Lucid Gravity: Performance Meets Efficiency

The Gravity Grand Touring brings Lucid’s advanced software-defined architecture and proprietary electric powertrain technology into the SUV segment. Despite offering seating for up to seven passengers, the vehicle delivers performance figures typically associated with high-performance sports cars.

The SUV offers:

– Up to 748 km WLTP driving range
– Energy consumption of 19.1–18.2 kWh/100 km
– 617 kW (839 PS) of power
– 0–100 km/h acceleration in 3.6 seconds
– A 123 kWh battery pack
– Advanced 926-volt electrical architecture

One of the Gravity’s standout features is its charging capability. Thanks to its high-voltage architecture and sustained charging performance, the SUV can add up to 400 kilometers of driving range in only 14 minutes under suitable fast-charging conditions.

Practicality is equally impressive. With seating for seven occupants and up to 3,398 liters of cargo capacity when the rear seats are folded, the Gravity combines luxury, performance, and utility in a single package.

The vehicle’s blend of technology, efficiency, and premium design recently earned it the prestigious World Luxury Car of the Year 2026 award from the World Car Awards.

Continuing Lucid’s El Prix Success

The latest achievement follows a series of strong performances by Lucid vehicles in NAF’s renowned range tests.

Earlier in 2026, the Lucid Air Grand Touring delivered the longest range in the Winter El Prix, traveling 520 kilometers despite temperatures plunging to -31°C during what organizers described as the coldest El Prix on record.

Lucid also set a benchmark at the 2025 Summer El Prix when the Air Grand Touring established a new all-time range record of 828 kilometers. That result exceeded the previous record by nearly 160 kilometers and remains one of the most impressive performances ever recorded in the event.

Strengthening Lucid’s Position in Europe

The Gravity’s strong showing in Norway arrives at an important time for Lucid as the company expands its presence in Europe. Real-world testing results often carry significant weight with EV buyers, particularly in Nordic markets where electric vehicle adoption is among the highest in the world.

By delivering 720 kilometers on a single charge while carrying the size, space, and practicality expected from a premium three-row SUV, the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring further demonstrates that long-range electric mobility no longer requires compromises in performance, luxury, or passenger capacity.

As competition in the electric SUV segment continues to intensify, Lucid’s latest El Prix result reinforces the Gravity’s position among the most capable long-range EVs currently available.
