European Launch of B10 Hybrid EV, powered by range extender technology
Leapmotor will launch the new B10 Hybrid EV (REEV), the range-extended compact SUV built on the LEAP 3.5 platform, combining the benefits of pure electric driving with the flexibility of an onboard generator.
The Range-Extended Electric Vehicle technology – already adopted by the C10 REEV – is a specific application of hybrid EV technology, it uses a small, highly efficient petrol engine as a generator to recharge the battery when needed, ensuring uninterrupted long-distance travel. Unlike traditional hybrids, the REEV system does not drive the wheels directly; it simply maintains battery charge for consistent electric performance.
