In the three years since its launch, the F-150 Lightning has become the best-selling electric truck in America. This success is driven by a commitment to listening to customers and integrating their feedback into future models.
This customer-first approach led to the creation of the 2024 F-150 Lightning Flash and is now the catalyst for a significant revamp of the XLT series for 2026.
The new F-150 Lightning STX was developed to meet the growing demand for a more rugged electric truck with extended range. Until now, owners seeking a durable, off-road capable F-150 Lightning often had to turn to the aftermarket for customizations. The STX changes that by bringing rugged features directly from the factory.
Replacing the previous XLT, the STX comes standard with dual motors and an extended-range battery, targeting an EPA-estimated 290 miles of range. This powerful combination delivers 536 horsepower and 775 lb.-ft. of torque, along with a standard rear e-locking differential for enhanced traction. The STX also borrows from the F-150’s parts bin, incorporating off-road running boards from the F-150 Tremor and new wheels with all-terrain tires.
The F-150 Lightning STX stands out with its fresh, aggressive look. It features a new grille with a striking grabber blue accent, while STX-specific bedside and hood graphics visually set it apart.
Inside, the STX series offers new cloth seats with “STX” embroidered in Grabber Blue. It also includes a standard heated steering wheel, a welcome feature for cold winters. For those who frequently get their truck dirty, an optional black vinyl floor is available.
The 2026 model year also introduces new optional colors, including Argon Blue and Marsh Gray. These join the existing palette of Agate Black Metallic, Antimatter Blue Metallic, Carbonized Gray Metallic, Oxford White, and Star White Metallic Tri-Coat.
With a starting MSRP of $63,345, the F-150 Lightning STX is expected to arrive at dealerships in early 2026 and is projected to be one of the top-selling series for the F-150 Lightning.
