Polestar UK introduces battery health certificates on pre-owned cars. Pre-Owned Polestar 2s now feature battery state-of-health certificate giving customers peace-of-mind as part of 112 point check.

Polestar UK is introducing battery state of health certificates for its pre-owned Polestar 2 models certifying the useable battery as a percentage. The certificate gives customers peace of mind that their battery is in peak health and reassurance that many more miles of hassle-free motoring is ahead of them.

Until 30th April, Polestar is running a national pre-owned event offering customers even easier access to its award-winning product line-up together with a low interest rate and a complimentary Zaptec home charger for all models.

Pre-owned Polestar 2, Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 remain up-to-date for potential customers through over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing the models to keep improving over time.

Since its launch in 2020, Polestar 2 has received over 20 OTA updates, including efficiency gains extending the car’s range through battery management, new functionality with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as many loved apps including Waze and YouTube. With continuous software updates, pre-owned customers can be assured they have the latest software features no matter the age of the car.

Further enhancing access to pre-owned cars, in May this year Polestar will open its first pre-owned Space in Birmingham which will be a standalone site in Erdington focussing purely on fully checked and prepped pre-owned Polestars. The Polestar team will deliver the same experience as new car customers, allowing a lower cost of entry to premium EV ownership and removing more carbon emissions from our roads.

Matt Galvin, Managing Director, Polestar UK said: “As more pre-owned Polestars start to come on the market, it offers a lower price entry-point to join the Polestar family and experience our performance EVs with all the software features of our new cars.

“And where customers may have been apprehensive about a five-year-old Polestar 2 and its battery condition, once again Polestar is giving car buyers transparency and providing peace of mind in the same way we do with our climate impact.”

Every pre-owned Polestar features an extensive 112-point check, a 24-month warranty, and the remainder of the 8-year battery warranty offered. All pre-owned Polestar 2s now undergo a battery state-of-health check, transparently presented to customers before their purchase while all pre-owned models purchased between 17 and 30 April available with reduced interest PCP finance at 8.9% APR representative and a free Zaptec home charger, saving up to GBP 495.
