The 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, also known as Auto Shanghai 2025, officially kicked off. Under the theme of “Innovate to New Horizons,” NIO showcased 11 models and 12 Full Stack technologies from its three brands—NIO, ONVO, and firefly.

At the press conference, William Li, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of NIO, said, “This is the first time the three brands—NIO, ONVO, and firefly—are collectively attending the auto show. We are very grateful for the strong support from NIO and ONVO user volunteers. There will be a major new model for every quarter. On display at the NIO stand, are the achievements of NIO’s decade of technological innovation, culminating in the ET9 which represents the latest breakthroughs in global smart electric vehicles.”

According to William Li, smart driving chips, operating systems, and smart chassis are the three major components of smart electric vehicles all developed in-house, defining the standards of experience and safety of smart electric vehicles. Supported by its technological research and development achievements, NIO is rapidly entering a new product cycle.

William Li announced at the press conference that the new ET5, ET5T, ES6, and EC6 will be launched in the second quarter of this year. The third-generation ES8 will be released in the second half of the year. The Smart Large-Space Flagship SUV ONVO L90 also made its debut at this year’s Shanghai Auto Show at the ONVO stand and is expected to be delivered in the third quarter. ONVO’s third model, the L80, will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year.

Today, firefly made its auto show debut on the international stage alongside NIO models.
