
Chinese biggest electric vehicle maker BYD continues its impressive sales streak, delivering 504,003 passenger new energy vehicles (NEVs) in November 2024. This represents a 67.2% year-over-year increase and a slight 0.7% month-over-month growth.
BYD sold 2,801 commercial NEVs last month, up 433.52 percent from a year ago and up 31.44 percent from October.
In total, BYD delivered 506,804 new energy vehicles in November.
This achievement marks the second consecutive month where BYD has surpassed the half-million mark.
Year-to-date, BYD has sold 3,740,930 passenger vehicles, a 40% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This surpasses the company’s annual target of 3.6 million vehicles, a milestone reached in November itself.
BYD sold 198,065 passenger battery electric vehicles last month, up 4.46 percent from October. Sales of plug-in hybrids were 305,938 units, down 1.60 percent from October.
BYD sold 30,977 vehicles overseas in November, a 1.14% year-over-year increase but a slight 0.69% decrease from the previous month.
BYD has fully transitioned away from traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles since April 2022.
