Kempower delivers electric truck charging solutions DFDS

Kempower, a leading provider of EV fast-charging solutions, and DFDS, a major European shipping and logistics company, have signed an agreement under which Kempower will provide DFDS with its fast-charging solutions for DFDS’ charging stations.

DFDS has previously deployed Kempower charging solutions at one charging site in Belgium and in Sweden and three in the Netherlands.

Under the agreement, Kempower will provide fast-charging solutions for DFDS charging hubs upon request, enabling electric trucks and terminal equipment to rapidly recharge their batteries. DFDS already has over 100 electric trucks in operation across Europe.

The latest project has been the expansion of DFDS’s s first eTruck charging site equipped with Kempower chargers, located in Gothenburg, Sweden. DFDS Gothenburg is one of Sweden’s largest eTruck charging depots with 38 charging points.

“In DFDS, our ambition is to have at least 25% of our fleet battery electric by 2030. Collaborating with infrastructure partners such as Kempower is an important step in making this happen,” says Sophie-Kim Chapman, VP, Decarbonisation in DFDS.

“This collaboration with DFDS is a significant milestone and serves as a strong example of industry leaders working together to accelerate the electrification of transportation and shape a cleaner future for generations to come,” says Tomi Ristimäki, CEO of Kempower.
