Acura is gearing up to make waves at Monterey Car Week once again. Following the successful debut of the electric ZDX Type S last year, the luxury brand has teased an upcoming concept SUV.
Set to be unveiled next week, the new concept will be the first Acura electric vehicle built on the company’s new dedicated EV platform and assembled at one of Honda’s manufacturing facilities in Ohio.
While details are scarce, the teaser image focuses on the vehicle’s rear, highlighting its sporty coupe-SUV profile with a sculpted tail featuring full-width LED taillights, an illuminated Acura badge, and a glimpse of the sloping roofline and muscular rear fenders.
Acura promises a “segment-defying” sport-utility vehicle, suggesting a bold departure from traditional SUV designs. The concept could potentially echo the sporty lines of the original Acura ZDX or the BMW X6.
Stay tuned for the official reveal in the coming days.
