XPENG Reveals Specifications and Expected Starting Price for XPENG P5 in Europe

Chinese leading EV maker XPENG has revealed more specifications about its premium, fully electric XPENG P5, in addition to the expected starting price in Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden. Online XPENG P5 configuration and reservation with a deposit are available now for Denmark, the Netherlands, and Sweden—this will also be available in Norway later this spring.

Eric Jin, Vice President of XPENG, remarked that: “We are delighted to see a growing interest in the XPENG brand with the opening of our showrooms in Sweden, the Netherlands, and Denmark, as well as the launch of XPENG P5 in four European markets. We are very confident that XPENG P5 will strengthen XPENG’s presence in Europe while demonstrating the potential of our electric mobility solutions for drivers across the continent.”

Symbolizing XPENG’s design language, the “X Robot Face” merges effortlessly with powerful LED headlights and full-width tail lights to give XPENG P5 a contemporary look.

Powered by its 66kWh battery, the front-wheel drive XPENG P5 can provide up to 465 km of WLTP range on a single charge. Plus, with the CCS2 charging capabilities, XPENG P5 can be charged at a vast number of locations across Europe.

With its aerodynamic ducktail and hidden door handles, XPENG P5’s drag coefficient is an ultra-low 0.223 Cd. The heat pump air conditioner also has a positive impact on XPENG P5’s performance, helping to effectively reduce energy consumption while driving, which is especially useful in low temperatures.

As an ideal car for families, XPENG P5 boasts a spacious interior finished with soft materials for a premium look and feel. The ergonomic seats provide optimal comfort for the driver and passengers.

The comfortable seats feature aviation headrests, heating, and 991 mm of legroom for rear passengers. The middle console includes USB and USB-C ports, as well as an A/C outlet to provide comfort for longer travel—the rear seats also feature ISO FIX child safety seat mounting fixtures.

The large truck space of up to 520 liters contains a main compartment of 450 liters and an extra 70 liters underneath, ideal for storing large amounts of luggage.

XPENG P5 also features a large panoramic sunroof with an electric sunshade, an advanced surround sound system, noise reduction technology, and the Xfreebreath air purification system, making it the optimal choice for a comfortable, healthy journey.

Intelligence That Moves You

XPENG P5 uses the Advanced Driver Assistance System, XPILOT 2.5, and in-car operating system, Xmart OS, to deliver a host of intelligent features on the go. Plus, with over-the-air (OTA) updates, XPENG P5’s software and firmware offering keeps improving over time.

XPILOT 2.5 uses 5 high-definition millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic wave sensors, 4 driving cameras, and 9 high-perception cameras to support XPILOT Driving, XPILOT Parking, and XPILOT Safety features.

With XPILOT 2.5, drivers can make use of many outstanding driving features, including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Centering Control (LCC), Adaptive Turning Cruise (ATC), and Active Lane Change (ALC). Moreover, the Intelligent Parking Assist feature allows for fully automatic parking under the supervision of the driver. XPENG P5 makes use of multiple safety features, including collision prevention and Driver State Sensing (DSS), as well as featuring motorized seat belts with pre-tensioners.

XPENG P5 offers infotainment and access to essential information via Xmart OS on its 15.6″ central control screen and 12.3″ digital dashboard. A number of applications are available in the app library, including Spotify, DAB radio, smart navigation, and extra camera apps.

In addition, the seamless “Hey XPENG” voice assistant provides a new way of communicating with your car. Enabled to detect which seat a command is coming from, the “Hey XPENG” voice assistant can execute a variety of tasks, including opening and closing individual windows, adjusting the in-car climate, switching driving modes, and much more.

To accommodate the requirements of many passengers, XPENG P5’s connectivity features extend beyond the inside of the cabin. Equipped with the Vehicle To Load (V2L) capabilities, XPENG P5 is capable of charging external electrical devices via a 230 V power output. Several in-car features can also be controlled via Bluetooth using the XPENG app, offering even more convenience in everyday life.

Product Availability and Price

XPENG P5 will be available in Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden. Customers from Denmark, the Netherlands, and Sweden are advised to visit their local XPENG website if they wish to configure and reserve an XPENG P5 or register for a test drive. XPENG product advisors are ready to welcome customers to XPENG Experience Stores in Copenhagen, The Hague, and Stockholm.
