
NIO Inc., Chinese leading premium electric vehicle maker, provided its February 2021 delivery results.
Deliveries of the ES8, ES6 and EC6 were 7,225 vehicles in January 2021 and 5,578 vehicles in February 2021, representing strong 352% and 689% year-over-year growth, respectively.
In February 2021, the deliveries consisted of 1,327 ES8s, the company’s 6-seater and 7-seater flagship premium smart electric SUV, 2,216 ES6s, the company’s 5-seater high-performance premium smart electric SUV, and 2,035 EC6s, the company’s 5-seater premium smart electric coupe SUV.
As of February 28, 2021, cumulative deliveries of the ES8, ES6 and EC6 reached 88,444 vehicles.
In January, NIO unveiled its ET7 flagship sedan model, designed to compete with the offerings from domestic rival XPeng and Tesla.
The ET7 will be offered with three battery sizes. The entry level 70kWh unit offers a 310-mile (500 km) range, with a 100kWh version offering 435 miles (700 km). The top 150kWh battery has a claimed range of more than 621 miles (1,000 km).
The NIO ET7 will be priced between $69,000 and $81,000 depending on the configuration. The car will be available in early 2022.
