FCA, Enel X and NewMotion join forces to accelerate the adoption of e-mobility in Europe

FCA Italy has entered into distinct cooperation agreements with Enel X and NewMotion aimed at developing an European program directed at business clients to facilitate their path toward electrification.

The ambition is to accelerate the adoption of e-mobility in Europe and to move forward into the new era of a more electric mobility, offering solutions and services to make access to electric mobility easy and convenient for business clients.

“e-nterprise” – as the Europe-wide program is known – is the result of FCA’s cooperation with the two partners, aimed at creating a service structure to enable FCA customers to deal easily, seamlessly and immediately with the integration of FCA’s electric and electrified vehicles into their fleets, regardless of size. Such a program can simplify the transition to the new mobility and most of all, eliminate any anxiety this change may generate in EV clients.

More specifically, the program supports FCA business clients even before they purchase electric or electrified vehicles. The program firstly provides potential clients with direct contact to the two partners , to evaluate charging requirements, specific circumstances of client sites and vehicles, and verify certain technical requirements, as well as offering initial advice on the best solutions to implement.

Once the premises have been checked for any technical constraints and opportunities, the program provides clients with direct on-site installation of charging points, courtesy of our partnerships with Enel X and NewMotion.

The program offers a high range of tailored charging solutions, including hardware, installation and servicing, to fulfill the needs of FCA’s business clients, from small and medium-sized enterprises to large corporations. Through this agreement, FCA’s clients can benefit from special conditions of purchase.

The program also includes an easy-to-use software platform to monitor, analyze and verify all aspects of the client’s infrastructure and recharging process.

The e-nterprise program also offers FCA business clients a range of energy management solutions (from battery storage to solar power units), based on the experience of Enel X and NewMotion, leading companies in the energy market.

To ensure the territorial coverage, the operational management of the e-nterprise program is split between the two partners based on their respective commercial and technological presence: Enel X will be active in Italy, Spain and Portugal, while NewMotion will cover the rest of the continent, from Austria to the United Kingdom and from France to Norway.

“The partnership with NewMotion and Enel X,” explained Roberto Di Stefano, Head of Network Development and e-Mobility for FCA’s EMEA Region, “will broaden FCA’s offer of services and innovative solutions to simplify the life of all business clients who decide to buy an electric or electrified vehicle and help them seamlessly switch to e-mobility. Both NewMotion and Enel X are strategic partners for FCA and form part of the solutions’ system built by our Group to transform into opportunities potential issues clients may encounter in the transition to a more electrified mobility. Courtesy of a dedicated program like e-nterprise, FCA will be able to roll out this strategy extensively and comprehensively to its business clients with specific, exclusive offers based on the expertise of our two outstanding partners.”

“With the launch of products such as Jeep Renegade and Compass 4xe, Fiat Professional E-Ducato and New Fiat 500,” stated Santo Ficili, Head of Business Center Italy, Sales Operations and Fleet for FCA’s EMEA Region, “FCA is approaching the energy transition with a broad product offer that fits in perfectly with the history of our iconic brands. Besides great passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, our B2B clients deserve a comprehensive set of services to enter the era of electrification with no anxiety or uncertainty. We believe that the e-nterprise program will provide a 360° solution to meet the needs of our clients, by leveraging the experience of two players as major as NewMotion and Enel X.”

“The partnership is a confirmation of Enel X’s commitments towards more electrified mobility and decarbonization worldwide, by offering our advanced charging solutions to anyone who chooses an electric vehicle,” said Alberto Piglia, Head of e-Mobility at Enel X. “Thanks to this agreement. FCA will make available to its customers Enel X e-Mobility solutions designed to fulfill the needs of the Business Segment on the Italian, Spanish and Portuguese markets”.

“With over 10 years of experience in the industry, we have the expertise and knowledge to support the growing needs of the corporate fleet when making the switch to e-mobility” says Melanie Lane, CEO of NewMotion. “Our catalogue of smart charging solutions that spans a large number of European countries means business customers who operate internationally or have multiple locations can be sure they can access the same solutions everywhere. We’re looking forward to supporting FCA in their effort to create a seamless EV charging experience for their corporate customers.”
