Swedish Renault drivers can profit from a complete charging solution by NewMotion, including a charge point at home and a charge card for on-the-go charging when buying their new electric vehicle. As part of the collaboration between Renault and NewMotion, consumers and business drivers buying their new Renault EV at a Renault dealership in Sweden can order a NewMotion charge point with their purchase.
The NewMotion charge card for on-the-go charging and access to the EV Charging app are also included, allowing drivers to find the nearest available charge point whilst on-the-go. NewMotion, a leading European smart charging solutions provider, will provide sales and installation of charge points for Renault electric vehicles.
The NewMotion charge point will provide drivers with fast and secure home charging as well as access to its ever growing public charging network. With over 150,000 charge points, NewMotion offers EV drivers a seamless charging experience in the Nordics and beyond. Additional benefits of the agreement include a seamless international billing, as a single invoice will be given for all charging.
“As a provider of smart solutions for charging at home, at work and on-the-go the goal of NewMotion is to make the switch to driving electric as easy and accessible as possible. Solutions such as our smart charge points, our charge card and our extensive European network of over 150,000 charge points across 35 countries help to achieve this. These advantages are now available for all Renault EV drivers. We are proud that Renault has chosen our offer for their EV drivers in Sweden and are looking forward to serving as many Swedish customers as possible as they make the switch to driving electric”, says Melanie Lane, CEO of NewMotion.
“We at Renault are convinced that the cars of the future will largely be powered by electricity. The collaboration with NewMotion gives us the opportunity to offer customers a good solution to charge their electric vehicle and thus feel safe with their choice, ”says Thomas Holm, Sweden’s manager at Renault Nordic AB.
Renault leads electric vehicle sales in Europe with more than 250,000 electric vehicles out on the roads. Among the popular cars are the passenger car Renault ZOE and light transport car Kangoo ZE and Twizy, which is a smaller electric vehicle for two persons. Soon, Renault Master ZE will be launched in Sweden, the largest transport car sold by Renault.
After the summer, Renault launches the Captur and Mégane Sport Tourer charging hybrid models as well as a full hybrid version of Clio under the collective name E-TECH, which can also take advantage of the offer from New Motion.
