All-new Nissan LEAF named Best Small Family Car at Next Green Car Awards 2017

Ahead of the model’s arrival into UK showrooms in 2018, the all-new Nissan LEAF has been awarded Best Small Family Car in the Next Green Car Awards 2017.

The new Nissan LEAF picks up right where the previous model left off. The Nissan LEAF 30kWh, launched in January 2016, received the same accolade at the 2015 awards.

The New LEAF impressed the Next Green Car judging panel with its improved range, distinctive design and driving technologies.

The Next Green Car judges commented; “A new Nissan LEAF is a big deal, and the Japanese firm has delivered on every attribute required to take its best-selling model back to the top of its class. The long range available is going to make the LEAF an attractive proposition for many, as is the new premium styling. Add in the extensive equipment on offer and the new LEAF looks set to fly off the forecourts.”

The Next Green Car Awards 2017 recognize the best green cars launched in the UK in 2017. Covering eight different categories, the winners are selected from a shortlist of 32 different models across 18 manufacturers.

Winning models cover seven vehicle categories and have all been judged against a range of factors, including environmental, performance and cost criteria. Other considerations such as suitability for purpose, impact on the market, and value for money are also taken into account.
