All major automakers are posting September sales numbers for plug-in electric vehicles.

Sales of the all-electric Nissan LEAF totaled 1,055 units, down 19.8% compared to September of 2016 when Nissan sold 1,316 LEAF EV’s. In terms of year to date in 2017, 10,740 LEAFs have been sold, which is up 16.3% compared with 2016 when 9,238 were sold.
Chevrolet Volt sold 1,453 units last month, down 28.5 percent compared to September of 2016 when Chevy sold 2,031 Volts. Overall for the year, 15,348 Chevrolet Volt plug-ins have been sold, which is down by 6% compared to 2016 when 16,326 units were sold.
|Toyota Prius Prime|
Prius Plug-in Hybrid sold 1,899 units during the month, after selling 1,820 in August. Overall for the year, 15,056 Prius Prime plug-ins have been sold. The Prius Prime PHV achieves a remarkable EPA-estimated 133 MPGe and MSRP that will range from $27,100 for the base Prius Prime Plus grade.

Ford C-MAX Energi sold 683 units in September. Previously in August, Ford sold 705 C-MAX Energi plug-ins. Overall for the year, 6,612 C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrids have been sold, which is up 23% compared to 2016 when 5,376 units have been sold.

Ford Fusion Energi finished last month with 763 deliveries, after selling 762 units in August. In terms of year to date in 2017, 7,285 Fusion Energi plug-ins have been sold, which is down 37.5% compared to 2016 when 11,650 units have been sold..
|Chevrolet Bolt EV|
Chevrolet Bolt EV deliveries totaled 2,632 units during the month. Previously in August, Chevy Bolt sold 2,107 units. In terms of year to date in 2017, 14,302 Bolt EVs have been sold. The Chevrolet Bolt EV begins at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $37,495, which includes destination and freight charges, but excludes tax, title, license and dealer fees. Depending on individual tax situations, customers may receive an available federal tax credit of up to $7,500.
|Porsche Panamera S-E Hybrid|
Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrids didn’t sold any unit during the month. Panamera S-E Hybrid sold 1 unit in August and May, after selling 2 units in April, 3 units in March, just 1 unit in February and 2 units in January. Overall for 2017, just 10 Panamera S E-Hybrids have been sold.

Porsche sold 124 Cayenne S E-Hybrid SUVs last month, after selling 178 units in August. In terms of year to date in 2017, 1,316 Cayenne S E-Hybrids have been sold.

Tesla Motors delivered 14,065 Model S vehicles, according to Q3 results.

Tesla delivered 11,865 Model X vehicles in the Q3 of 2017.

Tesla Model 3 delivered 220 units in the Q3 of 2017. The first production Model 3 vehicles are pre-configured with rear-wheel drive, a long-range battery starting at $44,000, with premium upgrades for an additional $5,000. This vehicle will offer a range of 310 miles and a 0-60 mph time of 5.1 seconds. The standard Model 3, starting at $35,000 with 220 miles of range and a 0-60 mph time of 5.6 seconds, should be available in the U.S. in November.

BMW i3 sold 538 units last month, after selling 504 units in August. In terms of year to date in 2017, 4,635 BMW i3 EVs have been sold.

BMW i8 sold 27 plug-in hybrid sports cars last month. BMW sold 29 units in August. Overall for the year, 331 BMW i8 plug-ins have been sold.
|BMW X5 xDrive40e|
The BMW X5 xDrive40e sold 333 units, after selling 317 units in August. Overall for the year, 3,259 BMW X5 xDrive40e SUVs have been sold. With a total system output of 230 kW/313 hp generated by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine and a synchronous electric motor, the BMW X5 xDrive40e achieves a combined fuel consumption of 69 – 71 mpg.
BMW 330e sold 329 units during the month, after selling 409 units in August. Overall for the year, 2,994 BMW 330e plug-in hybrids have been sold. The 2016 BMW 330e is priced at $44,695 including $995 destination & handling.
The all-new BMW 740e sold 43 units during the month, after selling 39 units in August. In terms of year to date in 2017, 465 BMW 740e plug-ins have been sold. The 2017 BMW 740e xDrive iPerformance is priced at $89,100 plus $995 Destination and Handling. With its eDrive technology the BMW 740e xDrive iPerformance can be driven in all-electric mode up to 75 mph. Combined fuel economy of 64 MPGe and an all-electric range of 14 miles is possible (EPA official figures).

The all-new BMW 530e sold 511 units last month, after selling 345 units in August. In terms of year to date in 2017, 1,598 BMW 530e plug-ins have been sold. Combined system output of 248 hp and 310 lb-ft. of peak torque propels the BMW 530e iPerformance Sedan from 0 to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds and the BMW 530e xDrive iPerformance Sedan in 5.8 seconds. It’s priced from $51,400.

Mini Countryman PHEV sold 80 units last month, after selling 86 units in August, 75 units in July and 10 units in June – its first month on the U.S. market.
|Mercedes-Benz GLE 550e|
Mercedes-Benz GLE 550e sold 14 units in September. Previously in August, the GLE 550e sold 23 units. Overall for the year, 332 Mercedes-Benz GLE 550e plug-in hybrids have been sold GLE 550e is equipped with V6 gas engine and a seven-speed automatic transmission, combined with an electric motor for total system power of 436 hp, 479 ft lbs of torque. The 8.8 kWh battery pack stores enough juice to travel up to 30 km (19 miles) on electric power.
|Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive|
Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive finished last month with 87 deliveries, after selling 58 units in August. Overall for the year, 543 B-Class Electric Drive EVs have been sold. The B-Class Electric Drive starts from $41,450 and has an all-electric range of 87 miles. For an extra $600, one can purchase the extended range package which allows the driver go 104 miles.
|Mercedes-Benz C 350e|
Mercedes-Benz C 350e sold 126 last month. Previously in August, the C 350e sold 212 units. Overall for the year, 738 C 350e PHEVs have been sold. The Mercedes-Benz C 350 e combines a combustion engine with an electric drive system and a high-voltage lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 6.38 kWh, which can be charged from an external power source. The C 350 e can reach a top speed of 155.3 mph while achieving certified fuel consumption of 112 mpg US.

Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid sold 35 units last month, after selling 32 units in August. Overall for the year, 602 S550 plug-in hybrids have been sold. The S550 Plug-in Hybrid offers a system output of 436 hp and 479 lb-ft torque, sprints from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.2 seconds and can drive up to 20 miles purely electrically.
|Volvo XC90 T8 PHEV|
Volvo XC90 PHEV sold 236 units during the month, after selling 265 units in August. Overall for 2017, 1,482 XC90 PHEV SUVs have been sold. The MSRP of the Volvo XC90 T8 PHEV is $68,100 before incentives.
|Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid|
The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid sold 475 units during the month, after selling 425 units in August. Overall for the year, 2,432 Pacifica Hybrids have been sold. The 2017 Pacifica Hybrid starts at $34,495 with available U.S. federal tax credit, not including state and local incentives. The Pacifica Hybrid has earned a fuel economy rating of 84 MPGe from EPA. It also offers a total driving range of 566 miles and an electric-only range of 33 miles.

Volkswagen e-Golf sold 187 units last month, down 64.7 percent compared to September of 2016 when Volkswagen sold 529 e-Golf EVs. Overall for the year, 2,699 e-Golfs have been sold, which is down by 3% compared to 2016 when 2,782 units were sold.

Sales of the A3 Sportback e-tron sold 85 units during the month, down 72.8 percent compared to September of 2016 when A3 Sportback e-tron sold 312 units. In terms of year to date, sales of the A3 Sportback e-tron no stand at 2,552 units, down 13.5% compared with 2016 when 2,949 units were sold.

For May, Fiat 500e sold 375 units units in last month, after selling 415 units in August. Overall for the year, 4,765 Fiat 500e EVs have been sold. In 2016, sales of the Fiat 500e were 5,330 units.
|Hyundai Sonata PHEV|
Hyundai Sonata plug-in hybrid sold 190 units during the month. Previously in August, Sonata PHEV sold 185 units. Overall for the year, 1,995 Sonata plug-in hybrids have been sold, Hyundai Sonata PHEV is priced from $34,600 before incentives.

Kia Optima PHEV plug-in hybrid sold 228 units during the month, after selling 182 units in August. In terms of year to date, sales of the Optima PHEVs now stand at 930 units. With an estimated 600 miles of total driving range, the Optima PHEV’s battery system features a 9.8 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack, which produces roughly 60 percent more energy output than the battery pack found in the outgoing Optima’s hybrid system, and is estimated to achieve 27 miles in full EV mode
|Cadillac CT6 PHEV |
Cadillac CT6 PHEV sold 27 units last month, after selling 23 units in August, 22 units in July, 20 units in June, 16 units in May and 6 units in April – its first month on the market.Cadillac CT6 PHEV is priced at $75,095 before any applicable electric vehicle tax incentives. All-electric range for the CT6 Plug-In Hybrid is an estimated 30 miles. Hyundai IONIQ Electric sold 36 units last month, after selling 66 units in August. Overall for 2017, 302 IONIQ Electric EVs have been sold. The Ioniq Electric offers pure electric mobility with a 28 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery for an estimated driving range of 110 miles. Pricing starts from $29,500 before incentives.
|Kia Soul EV|
Kia Soul EV sold 255 units last month, after selling 300 units in August. Overall for 2017, 1,536 Soul EVs have been sold. Offered in two trims, Base and + (Plus), the 2015 Kia Soul EV MSRP is $33,700 (not including federal tax rebate of $7,500) for the Base trim.
|Honda Clarity Electric|
The Honda Clarity Electric sold 35 units in August, after selling 15 units in August. The Japanese automaker delivered the first 34 copies in July. Honda Clarity Electric is available at select dealerships in California and Oregon. The Clarity Electric has an EPA fuel economy rating of 126/103/114 MPGe (city/highway/combined) and an EPA range rating of 89 miles on a full charge.
|Ford Focus Electric|
Ford Focus Electric sold 131, after selling 131 units in August. In terms of year to date, sales of the Focus Electric now stand at 1,468.
Toyota sold 184 Mirai fuel-cell electric sedans last month, after selling 70 units in August. Overall for the year, 1,044 Mirai FCVs have been sold. The Mirai is priced MSRP $57,500 plus an $835 destination fee. With combined state and federal incentives of $13,000 available to many customers, the purchase price could potentially fall to under $45,000.
| Smart Fortwo Electric Drive|
Last month, smart fortwo ED 123 units last month. Smart sell 94 unit in August. smart ED sold 3 units in June, after selling 1 unit in May, 3 units in April, 13 units in March, 22 units in February and 15 units in January. Overall for 2016, 657 smart fortwo EDs have been sold.
|Chevrolet Spark EV |
Spark EV sold just unit during the month. Spark EV didn’t sold any unit in May. The Chevy Spark EV sold just 1 unit in April, after selling 3 units in March, 4 units in February and also 4 units in January. Last year, 3,035 Chevrolet Spark EVs have been sold.
|Mitsubishi i – discontinued|
Mitsubishi iMiEV didn’t sell any unit during the month. Mitsubishi sold 2 iMiEVs in April, 3 units in March and just one unit in February. Last year, only 94 iMiEVs have been sold. The 2016 Mitsubishi i-MiEV will arrive at Mitsubishi dealers across the United States in late March 2015. With a starting MSRP of only $22,995, the 2016 i-MiEV is the most affordably-priced electric vehicle available in America today, and after factoring in the Federal tax credit of $7,500, the net starting MSRP is reduced to $15,495.
|Cadillac ELR – discontinued|
General Motors has pulled the plug on the Cadillac ELR after years of dismal sales. Cadillac only managed to sell 1,354 units of the ELR in 2014, while only 1,024 were delivered in 2015.
