The German plug-in electric passenger car market registered a record 4,666 units, up 175% Year-on-Year, with Year-to-date registrations growing 125% over the 2016 result in the same period.
The Audi A3 e-Tron was again best-selling plug-in model with 537 units, followed by the Volkswagen e-Golf with 475 registrations, the Renault Zoe in with 423 deliveries, the Kia Soul EV with 372 and Mercedes-Benz C350 e with 350 registrations.
The Year-to-date podium has the Audi A3 e-Tron (3,271 units) has displaced the Renault Zoe (3,265 units) from the top spot. The third placed BMW i3 (2,623 units) has another BMW behind it with the BMW 225xe Active Tourer (2,117 units), now running in fourth.
In the manufacturers ranking, BMW (21%, down 1%) is on the lead, with Volkswagen (13% up 1%) in second place, while Mercedes-Benz and Audi are tied in third, with 12% share.
