The Italian plug-in electric vehicle market is up 111% Year-on-Year, having registered 388 units in January.
The Renault Zoe started the year in the lead, with 64 units, followed by the BMW i3 (48 units), Citröen C-Zero (47 units) and the Mercedes GLC350e, which with 46 registrations scored a new personal best.
Looking at the manufacturers ranking, BMW is in the lead, with 27% share, followed by Renault (15%), and Mercedes (11%).
The plug-in electric Light Commercial Vehicles market is also on positive ground, up 61% this year to 53 units, with the Nissan e-NV200 van leading (25 registrations) the market, ahead of the Citröen Berlingo EV (16 units).
Italy is the largest market in Europe for LPG and NG, with Natural Gas passenger cars down 34% to 3.094 units, the LCV (N1) category is also down, by 31%, to 291 units.
Reversely, LPG cars and vans (N1) are up, with the first category up 31% to 11.374 units, while the second category is up 29% to 232 units.
