
It’s time for the Mahindra e2o electric city car to be reviewed in the Fully Charged Show.
Earlier this year, Mahindra, India’s second largest car maker, made its entry into the UK automotive market with the launch of the Mahindra e2o.
Designed specifically for easy urban commuting, and featuring a host of connected technologies, the Mahindra e2o is available in two trim levels.
The entry-level e2o City is priced at £12,995, while the higher-spec TechX version retails at £15,995 and includes a touchscreen infotainment centre with reversing camera, telematics, Revive remote emergency recharging, leather seats, alloy wheels and a rapid charging port. The Mahindra e2o TechX is currently available with the launch offer of free health check and home delivery, and including a £1,000 discount. All prices include £4,500 OLEV government plug-in car grant.
The 14kWh lithium-ion battery pack good for 79 miles of range, plus an extra eight in reserve via the on-board menus if you’re really stuck in an emergency. A full charge from a home plug socket takes nine hours, while the higher-spec TechX version can be fully recharged in 90 minutes on a fast charge.
The Mahindra e2o has a top speed of 63mph and achieves 0-25mph in 4.9sec, while 0-50mph takes 18sec.
