Cenntro Automotive will use the 2016 New York Auto Show to present its METRO all electric utility vehicle.
The METRO is a dependable, versatile vehicle that is ready to work at an affordable price point.
Cenntro says its METRO is the first EV to use a modular concept and promises a choice from several different configurations that include an open truck bed and van box, with either one or two doors.
The METRO is also apparently the first vehicle of its class to be manufactured right here in the US — in Sparks, Nevada, to be exact.
Cenntro has developed and integrated its powertrain, Cenntro Power for improved performance, weight balance and handling. The METRO can achieve a range of up to 75 miles, speed of up to 25 mph, an MPGe of 209, up to 6.2 M/Kwh, payload capacity of 1,400 pounds, and a payload ratio at 75% (payload over curb weight). The vehicle’s efficient design puts less stress on the lead-acid battery, which extends battery life and travel distance.
“The METRO is a great vehicle for all types of businesses,” noted Peter Wang, CEO of Cenntro Automotive. “It has many functions, including hauling, recycling, landscaping, and delivery. With an affordable price and low cost of ownership, it provides a great value.”
