All major automakers are posting September sales numbers for plug-in electric vehicles.

 | Nissan LEAF Sales of the all-electric Nissan LEAF totaled 1,247 units, down 56.7% compared to September of 2014 when Nissan sold 2,881 LEAF EV’s. In terms of year-to-date results in 2015, sales of the Nissan LEAF now stand at 13,630, which is down by 37.5% compared with 2014 when 21,882 were sold. Last month, Nissan introduced the 2016 all-electric LEAF with an available 30 kWh battery that provides an EPA-estimated range of 107 miles – a 27-percent increase over the previous 24 kWH battery. |
 | Chevrolet Volt Chevrolet Volt sold 949 units last month. Overall for the year, 9,264 Chevrolet Volt plug-ins have been sold, which is down by 36% compared to 2014 when 14,540 units were sold. Total U.S. Volt deliveries are now 82,621, while total LEAF deliveries stand at 85,952 units. |
 | Toyota Prius Plug-in Prius Plug-in Hybrid sold just 216 units, down 41,3% compared to September of 2014. Previously in August, Toyota sold 344 Prius PHV units. In terms of year-to-date results in 2015, sales of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid now stand at 4,034, which is off 65.9% from the 11,842 sold in 2014 through September. The next generation Prius PHV will come in the second half of 2016 as a 2017 model car. |
 | Ford C-Max Energi Ford C-MAX Energi sold 719 units in September. Previously in August, Ford sold 723 plug-ins. In terms of year-to-date results in 2015, sales of the Ford C-Max Energi now stand at 5,678. |
 | Ford Fusion Energi Ford Fusion Energi finished last month with 808 deliveries, after selling 949 units in August. In terms of year-to-date results in 2015, sales of the Ford Fusion Energi now stand at 6,899. |
 | Cadillac ELR GM sold just 36 Cadillac ELRs last month. Previously in August, Cadillac sold 45 ELRs. In terms of year-to-date results in, sales of the Cadillac ELR now stand at 740. The 2014 Cadillac ELR has a starting price of $75,995, including a $995 destination charge but excluding tax, title, license and dealer fees. |
 | Porsche Panamera S-E Hybrid Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrids finished last month with 41 deliveries. Previously in August, Panamera S E-Hybrid sold 36 units. In terms of year-to-date results in 2015, sales of the Panamera S E-Hybrid now stand at 330. |
 | Porsche Cayenne S e-Hybrid Porsche sold 70 Cayenne S E-Hybrid SUVs last month, after selling 83 units in August. The Cayenne S Hybrid has a lithium-ion traction battery with an energy capacity of 10.8 kWh, which enables an all-electric driving range of 11 to 22 miles, combined fuel consumption is 39 mpg US with 79 g/km of CO2. In terms of year-to-date results in 2015, sales of the Cayenne S E-Hybrid now stand at 720. |

 | Tesla Model X – Does not report exactly monthly sales Six Model X SUVs were delivered on Tuesday to a group made up of Tesla board members, investors and friends of Musk who had pre-ordered. The Tesla Model X is priced as high as $144,000. Tesla estimates that 25,000 customers had pre-ordered the crossover online or in its stores and that it would take 8-12 months for those ordering from now to receive the SUV. |
 | BMW i3 BMW i3 sold 1,710 units last month, after selling just 792 units in August. BMW is now offering a new low cost DC fast charger for $6,548 at authorized BMW partners. In terms of year-to-date results in 2015, sales of the BMW i3 now stand at 7,893. |
 | BMW i8 BMW i8 sold 182 plug-in hybrid sports cars last month. BMW sold 210 in August and 217 units in July. Overall for the year, 1,342 BMW i8 sports cars have been sold. BMW delivered the first plug-in hybrid BMW i8 sport cars at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and auctioned One-of-a-kind BMW i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition for $825,000. The BMW i8 has an MSRP of $135,700 |
 | Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive finished last month with 147 deliveries, after selling 172 units in August. The B-Class Electric Drive starts from $41,450 and has an all-electric range of 87 miles. For an extra $600, one can purchase the extended range package which allows the driver go 104 miles. Overall for the year, 1,687 B-Class Electric Drive have been sold. |
 | Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid sold 17 units in its third month on the market. The S550 Plug-in Hybrid also sold 10 copies August and in July, its debut month.The Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid offers a system output of 436 hp and 479 lb-ft torque, sprints from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.2 seconds and can drive up to 20 miles purely electrically. |
 | Volkswagen e-Golf Volkswagen e-Gold sold record 343 units last month, after selling 381 units in August. Overall for the year, 2,555 VW e-Golf EVs have been sold. The all-electric 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf is on sale at participating dealerships in select states. The e-Golf was rated by the EPA at126 city, 105 highway, and 116 combined MPGe and given a range of up to 83 miles. |
 | Kia Soul EV – no data to report Kia Soul EV sold 93 units last month, after selling 59 units in July. Overall for the year, 622 Soul EVs have been sold. Offered in two trims, Base and + (Plus), the 2015 Kia Soul EV MSRP is $33,700 (not including federal tax rebate of $7,500) for the Base trim. Overall for the year, 529 Soul EVs have been sold. |
 | Smart Fortwo Electric Drive Last month, smart fortwo ED sold 94 units last month, after selling 106 units in August. In terms of year-to-date results in 2015, sales of the smart fortwo ED now stand at 955. |
 | Fiat 500e For September, Fiat 500e sold 635 units. Overall for the year, 5,114 Fiat 500e EVs have been sold. The Fiat 500e is priced at $32,500, which includes a $700 destination charge. However, eligible California residents may be able to purchase the Fiat 500e for as low as $20,500, after federal credits. |
 | Chevrolet Spark EV Spark EV sold 157 units, after selling 135 units in August. Overall for the year, 2,134 Chevrolet Spark EVs have been sold. |
 | Ford Focus Electric Deliveries of the Ford Focus Electric were 145 in September. In August and July, Ford sold 176 and 135 Focus Electrics respectively. In terms of year-to-date results in 2015, sales of the Ford Focus Electric now stand at 1,267. |
 | Mitsubishi i Mitsubishi sold 3 i-MiEV electric cars in September, after selling 6 units in August. In terms of year-to-date results in 2015, sales of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV now stand at 93. The 2016 Mitsubishi i-MiEV will arrive at Mitsubishi dealers across the United States in late March 2015. With a starting MSRP of only $22,995, the 2016 i-MiEV is the most affordably-priced electric vehicle available in America today, and after factoring in the Federal tax credit of $7,500, the net starting MSRP is reduced to $15,495. |
