The Chinese auto industry has a reputation for being heavily inspired by European and American models, with plenty of copycat cars on sale there.
Now, we give you the Youxia X, a Tesla Model S-inspired electric sedan with an ‘artificially-intelligent’ car KITT from the ’80s American TV show ‘Knight Rider’
Under the hood the Youxia X has an electric motor with a peak power of 360 hp with the option of a 40 kWh, 60 kWh or 85 kWh battery. A full charge of this battery will take only half an hour on a supercharger.
According to CarNewsChina, the numbers should translate into a zero to 60 time of 5.6 seconds, and a range of up to 285 miles. Prices will begin at $32,000 for the base model, and up to $48,000 for the range-topper.
If everything works out well, the Youxia X will go into production next year and the deliveries will start in 2017.[wzslider height=”400″ lightbox=”true”]
