Tesla Motors is working quickly to build its massive Gigafactory in Nevada, just 15 minutes East of Reno.
The Gigafactory is due to reach completion next year. It will employ over 6,500 people churning out 55 gigawatt-hours of lithium ion battery cells every year. When fully commissioned, it will be the largest lithium-ion processing facility in the world.
From this video, taken in 4k resolution, it is becoming apparent just how large the Gigafactory will be with its two tall floors and enormous footprint.
According to the YouTube page, it was posted by a user named “Quick Laptop Cash”. Describing the video, the You Tuber says “to ensure safety this video was recorded while no workers were present and from over one mile away with a DJI Phantom 3 Professional Drone utilising GPS. The drone was in constant visual contact as well as maintaining an altitude of not more than 400 feet above ground level.”
