In 2014, Nissan sold more than 30,000 LEAF vehicles in the U.S., the first time any plug-in vehicle has reached that milestone in a single year.

Sales of the all-electric Nissan LEAF totaled 3,102, up 22.7 percent and a December record. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Nissan LEAF now stand at 30,200, an improvement of 33,6.% compared with 2013 when 22,610 were sold.
Chevrolet Volt finished last month with 1,490 deliveries, a decrease of 38 percent compared to December 2013 when 2,391 were sold. With a new 2016 Volt to be introduced at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, sales of current Volt models seem likely to remain low for the next several months. In terms of year-to-date results in, sales of the Chevrolet Volt now stand at 18,805, which is down by 18.6% compared with 2013 when 23,094 were sold.
|Toyota Prius Plug-in |
Prius Plug-in Hybrid sold 492 units during the month. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid now stand at 13,264, an improvement of 10% compared with 2013 when 12,088 were sold.
|Ford C-Max Energi |
Ford C-MAX Energi sold 659 units in December. Previously in November, Ford sold 644 plug-ins. Overall for the year, 8,433 Ford C-MAX Energi plug-ins have been sold.

Ford Fusion Energi finished last month with 789 deliveries, after selling 752 units in November. June was the best-ever month for Ford Fusion Energi with 1,939 sales, an increase of 44.5 percent over May, the previous best-ever month for the fusion Energi. Overall Ford has now sold 11,550 Fusion Energi plug-ins.
GM sold 118 Cadillac ELRs last month, which brings the total amount sold in 2014 to 1,310 units. The 2014 Cadillac ELR has a starting price of $75,995, including a $995 destination charge but excluding tax, title, license and dealer fees.

Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrids finished last month with 31 deliveries. Previously in November, Panamera S E-Hybrid sold 57 units. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Panamera S E-Hybrid now stand at 848 units.

Porsche sold 55 Cayenne S E-Hybrid SUVs in its second month in the US. The 2015 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid is the first plug-in hybrid in the premium SUV segment. The Cayenne S Hybrid has a lithium-ion traction battery with an energy capacity of 10.8 kWh, which enables an all-electric driving range of 11 to 22 miles, combined fuel consumption is 39 mpg US with 79 g/km of CO2. The 2015 Cayenne S-E-Hybrid is available starting at $76,400.
|Tesla Model S – Does not report exactly monthly sales|
Tesla Motors delivered 7,579 Model S vehicles and produced 8,763 of the cars, according to second-quarter results. The California-based electric carmaker lowered its forecast for revenue and deliveries for the third quarter to 7,800 vehicles from 9,500 because it had to shut down its factory in Fremont, Calif., to install equipment in July. Tesla said it should be able to ramp up production in the final three months of 2014 to reach its sales goal of 35,000

Deliveries of the Ford Focus Electric were just 53 in December, after selling 191 units in November. Ford sold record 264 Focus Electric EVs in August and 198 units EVs in July, which was just a single unit more compared to June’s number of 197. Overall Ford has now sold 1,964 Focus Electric EVs.
BMW i3 achieved 1,013 sales last month. The total amount sold in the first 7 months on the market now stand at 6,092 units. BMW is now offering a new low cost DC fast charger for $6,548 at authorized BMW partners.

BMW i8 sold 158 plug-in hybrid sports cars in December. BMW sold 126 units in November and 204 units in October. BMW delivered the first plug-in hybrid BMW i8 sport cars at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and auctioned One-of-a-kind BMW i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition for $825,000. The BMW i8 has an MSRP of $135,700
|Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive |
Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive finished last month with 326 deliveries, after selling 193 in November and 98 in October. Mercedes-Benz sold 774 B-Class Electric Drive cars in the first 6 months on the market. The B-Class Electric Drive starts from $41,450 and has an all-electric range of 87 miles. For an extra $600, one can purchase the extended range package which allows the driver go 104 miles.
Volkswagen e-Gold sold 237 units in its second full month on the market. The all-electric 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf is on sale at participating dealerships in select states. The e-Golf was rated by the EPA at126 city, 105 highway, and 116 combined MPGe and given a range of up to 83 miles.
|Kia Soul EV|
Kia Soul EV sold 110 units during December. Offered in two trims, Base and + (Plus), the 2015 Kia Soul EV MSRP will be $33,700 (not including federal tax rebate of $7,500) for the Base and $35,700 for the Plus (not including federal tax rebate of $7,500). With an expected introductory lease price of $249 per month, the Soul EV boasts best-in-class EPA-estimated range of 93 miles and MPGe of 92 miles on the highway and 120 miles in the city (105 miles combined).

Last month, smart fortwo ED sold an all-time record 351 units, after selling 313 units in November. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the smart fortwo ED now stand at 2,594 units.
|Fiat 500e |
For December, Fiat 500e sold 115 units. Overall Fiat has now sold 1,793 500e EVs last year. The 2013 Fiat 500e is priced at $32,500, which includes a $700 destination charge. However, eligible California residents may be able to purchase the 2013 Fiat 500e for as low as $20,500, after federal credits.

GM sold just 131 Spark EVs in December. In May 2014, the Chevrolet Spark EVs set an all-time record in 182 deliveries. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Chevrolet Spark EV now stand at 1,145.

The 2014 Honda Accord Plug-In Hybrid logged 63 units last month. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Accord Plug-In Hybrid now stand at 449.
|Honda Fit EV |
Honda sold 32 Fit EVs in December. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Fit EV now stand at 407 units. A total of 1,069 Fit EVs has been sold since the vehicle hit the market in mid-2012. Honda Fit EV production will be halted this fall when the automaker produces its 1,100th Fit EV. With the Fit EV being halted this fall, Honda will be left without a all-electric vehicle to compete in the growing segment.

Toyota RAV4 EV sold 37 units in December, after selling 83 units in November and 97 units in October. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Toyota RAV4 EV now stand at 1,184 units.

Mitsubishi sold 12 i-MiEV electric cars in December. Previously in November, Mitsubishi sold 18 i-MiEV electric cars. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the i-MiEV now stand at 196 units. 2014 Mitsubishi i-MiEV starts at $22,995 including CHAdeMO DC quick charge port, representing a $6,130 reduction from the starting price of the 2012 model that preceded it.
