All major automakers are posting December sales numbers for plug-in electric vehicles.
In 2014, Nissan sold more than 30,000 LEAF vehicles in the U.S., the first time any plug-in vehicle has reached that milestone in a single year.

![]() | Chevrolet Volt Chevrolet Volt finished last month with 1,490 deliveries, a decrease of 38 percent compared to December 2013 when 2,391 were sold. With a new 2016 Volt to be introduced at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, sales of current Volt models seem likely to remain low for the next several months. In terms of year-to-date results in, sales of the Chevrolet Volt now stand at 18,805, which is down by 18.6% compared with 2013 when 23,094 were sold. |
