Peugeot UK has slashed the price of its iOn electric car from £33,155 to £26,216.
Government’s £5,000 Plug-in Car Grant further reduces the ‘on-the-road’ price of the Peugeot iOn to qualified applicants to £21,216.
Peugeot is also offering a monthly rental reduction to just £249 per month based over three years and 30,000 miles.
Peugeot has also increased the number of ‘EV specialist’ dealers handling the EV from 11 to 23 dealers, all in UK cities not covered by the original network. The aftersales EV network will be extended from the 11 initial dealers to a network of around 100 locations in coming months.
All of the newly appointed EV service dealers have already received specialist training to service and repair iOn and future Peugeot EV models.
Peugeot’s EV range will grow at the beginning of 2013 with the introduction of a new electric Partner van, which will qualify for the recently announced extension to the Government’s Plug-in Van Grant, with a maximum of £8,000 support towards the purchase price of electric commercial vehicles.
The EV range, along with the recently introduced world’s first diesel-electric HYbrid4, displays Peugeot’s commitment to addressing the environmental challenges facing carmakers, communities, businesses and private car owners.
