Renault UK has announced its pricing for the Renault Fluence Z.E. which will start at £17,850 after the £5,000 Plug-In Car Grant has been deducted.
Buyers of the electric Fluence Z.E. will also have to pay £75 per month to lease batteries, based on 6000 miles per year over three years. Additional mileage and contract length details will be available closer to UK launch.
The Renault Fluence Z.E. ‘Prime Time’, first version of Fluence Z.E, comes with a high level of equipment, including 16” alloy wheels, climate control, cruise control, ecoMeter and Carminat TomTom Live smart satellite navigation, together with charging sockets on both front wings.
Aside from its alluring price and sound environmental credentials, thanks to its zero-emissions, Fluence Z.E. will also offer an enjoyable driving experience through its 70kW (95hp) power and generous 226Nm of instant torque on tap. The range of Renault’s flagship Z.E. is up to 115 miles, depending on driving and road conditions.
With the confirmed on the road price of, the Renault Fluence Z.E. is the UK’s most affordable electric car.
The Nissan Leaf, costs from £25,990 (including the grant), but the batteries are included in the purchase price, while the Mitsubishi i-MiEV costs £6,140 more than the Fluence Z.E.
The Renault Fluence Z.E. saloon will be available during 2012, with pre-reservations taking place online for £20 at www.renault-ze.com.
