The new AION UT electric hatchback has officially arrived at AION Auto UK dealerships, giving British buyers another affordable electric car option in the increasingly competitive B-segment market.
To mark its UK launch, AION is offering two introductory incentives during September. The headline deal provides the AION UT with a PCP payment from £349 per month at 0% APR through AION Financial Services, subject to the offer’s terms.
Customers who test drive the AION UT and place an order during September can also benefit from a £500 AION deposit contribution. The launch finance offer requires a customer deposit of £1,949.
With an on-the-road price starting at £28,950, the AION UT is positioned against popular electric superminis while promising more interior space, technology and range than its compact dimensions might suggest.
One of the AION UT’s biggest selling points is its claimed 268-mile WLTP Combined range, which comes as standard.
The electric hatchback also supports rapid charging, taking the battery from 30% to 80% in just 24 minutes under suitable charging conditions. That combination of range and charging speed makes the UT a potentially practical choice for both urban driving and longer journeys.
AION is also emphasizing the UT’s interior. Despite its B-segment dimensions, the company says the model offers generous passenger and luggage space, along with a level of technology, convenience and perceived quality more commonly associated with larger and more expensive vehicles.
The AION UT has also received chassis tuning specifically for British roads. According to AION, the setup is designed to deliver a playful yet composed driving experience, with a focus on driver connection and comfort.
The model becomes the second AION vehicle to launch in the UK, following the AION V electric SUV, which arrived earlier in 2026.
The UT represents an important step for the Chinese EV brand as it expands its presence in the British market and targets buyers looking for an affordable electric hatchback without giving up range or equipment.
AION is backing the UT with its AION Great 8 Promise, a package designed to provide long-term ownership support.
The program includes an eight-year warranty, eight years of servicing, eight years of roadside assistance and MOT coverage until the vehicle reaches eight years old. The benefits are tied to the vehicle identification number (VIN) and are fully transferable to future owners.
That transferability could also help the AION UT retain greater appeal in the used-car market, particularly as buyers increasingly consider warranty coverage when choosing an electric vehicle.
AION is continuing to expand its UK retail and aftersales network as well. Through a partnership with the AA, customers will have access to servicing, maintenance and repair support through accredited workshops and more than 140 mobile service technicians.
