Polestar 4 Receives Chassis Upgrades; Priced from £56,750 in the UK

Polestar has introduced a series of upgrades for the Polestar 4, bringing chassis refinements, improved steering precision and a lower production carbon footprint to its electric SUV coupé.

Available to order now in the UK, the updated Polestar 4 starts from £56,750 for the Rear motor version, while the Dual motor model is priced from £63,750.

The Swedish electric performance brand says the latest updates are designed to improve ride comfort, agility and overall driving control without compromising the Polestar 4’s performance credentials.

Rear motor and Dual motor versions now receive a recalibrated chassis featuring high-capacity passive dampers, revised spring and anti-roll bar settings, and polyurethane rebound stops. The changes replace the previous internal rebound coil springs and are intended to deliver a more composed ride across a wider range of driving conditions.

Polestar has also revised the steering calibration, aiming to provide greater precision and a more connected feel behind the wheel.

The Dual motor Polestar 4 remains the quickest SUV in the company’s lineup, accelerating from 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds. Despite its strong performance, the model also carries the lowest cradle-to-gate carbon footprint of any current Polestar.

For UK customers, the updated Polestar 4 has a cradle-to-gate carbon footprint of 19.4 tonnes of CO2e in Rear motor form and 20.3 tonnes of CO2e for Dual motor models. The Dual motor version’s footprint has fallen by 1.1 tonnes of CO2e since the model’s launch.

Michael Lohscheller, CEO of Polestar, said the upgraded Polestar 4 delivers a more refined driving experience alongside improved sustainability credentials.

For the new model year, Polestar has simplified the range structure. Buyers can now choose between Rear motor, Dual motor and Dual motor with the Performance pack.

Each version receives subtle cabin details to distinguish the trims. Rear motor models feature black seatbelts and rotary controls, Dual motor versions add a Swedish gold stripe, while Performance pack models receive full Swedish gold detailing.

Business and Prime trim levels are available on both Rear motor and Dual motor versions.

Business specification adds advanced driver assistance technology, including Pilot Assist, Lane Change Assist, Park Assist Pilot and rear privacy glass.

Prime trim builds on this with a Harman Kardon audio system, head-up display, illuminated Star Knit door cards, rear control screen, 12-way adjustable front seats, heated and reclining rear seats, three-zone climate control and a PM2.5 particulate filtration system.

Exterior additions for Prime models include an illuminated Polestar logo, Pixel LED headlights with adaptive high beam and a power-operated tailgate with a foot sensor.

With improved ride quality, updated equipment packages and a reduced carbon footprint, the revised Polestar 4 strengthens its position in the growing electric SUV coupé segment.
