Jeep Avenger Electric Now Eligible for UK Electric Car Grant, Prices Drop to £28,499

The Jeep Avenger Electric has become more accessible in the UK, thanks to its eligibility for the government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG).

The incentive, administered by the Department for Transport, reduces the price of the fully electric SUV by £1,500, bringing the entry-level model down to £28,499 on the road.

This price adjustment strengthens the Avenger’s position in the competitive compact electric SUV segment, making it a more compelling option for buyers considering the switch to zero-emission driving.

Improved Value With Government Support

The Electric Car Grant aims to accelerate EV adoption by lowering upfront costs. With the Avenger now included, buyers benefit from immediate savings without compromising on capability or features.

Jeep is also supporting the move with competitive finance offers across its electric lineup, further improving affordability. In some cases, the electric Avenger can now undercut its petrol equivalent on monthly PCP costs—before factoring in the lower running costs associated with EV ownership.

Despite its compact footprint, the Avenger Electric delivers a well-rounded performance package tailored for both urban and light off-road use.

It offers up to 248 miles (WLTP) of range, supported by a 156hp electric motor producing 260 Nm of torque. This setup ensures responsive acceleration and smooth driving characteristics, whether navigating city streets or tackling rougher terrain.

Charging capabilities are equally competitive. An 11kW onboard charger supports convenient home or workplace charging, while 100kW DC fast charging enables a 20–80% top-up in under 30 minutes—ideal for longer journeys.

Full Electric Pricing After Grant

Following the £1,500 ECG deduction, the updated pricing for the Avenger Electric lineup is as follows:

– Longitude: £28,499
– Altitude: £30,499
– Summit: £32,499

These revised prices enhance the model’s value proposition, particularly at the entry level, where it now competes more aggressively with other mainstream electric SUVs.

Multiple Powertrain Options Still Available

While the electric version takes the spotlight, the Avenger range continues to offer flexibility. Buyers can still choose from petrol, e-Hybrid, and the 4xe variant.

The 4xe model combines a petrol engine with electric motors to deliver all-wheel drive capability, staying true to Jeep’s off-road heritage while introducing electrified performance.

A Stronger Case for Going Electric

With government incentives now applied and pricing adjusted, the Jeep Avenger Electric becomes an even more attractive entry point into electric mobility. Its combination of range, fast-charging capability, and compact SUV practicality positions it well for everyday driving needs—while still retaining the adventurous DNA expected from the Jeep brand.
