2026 Toyota bZ Woodland Arrives with 375 HP, AWD and 281-Mile Range

Toyota is expanding its electric SUV portfolio with its most rugged BEV yet. The first-ever Toyota bZ Woodland is set to arrive at dealerships across the United States next month, delivering serious power, standard all-wheel drive and true utility for adventure-focused drivers.

Positioned as the most capable model in Toyota’s growing EV family, the bZ Woodland blends off-road styling with impressive performance and everyday practicality.

375 Horsepower and Standard AWD

Under the hood — or rather, beneath the floor — the bZ Woodland features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing a net combined 375 horsepower. That makes it the most powerful bZ model to date.

Toyota estimates a 0–60 mph time of just 4.4 seconds, putting it squarely in performance SUV territory.

The standard AWD system includes X-MODE with Grip Control, designed to optimize traction on slippery or uneven surfaces. Combined with 8.4 inches of ground clearance and available all-terrain tires, the Woodland trim is built for more than just paved roads.

Up to 281 Miles of EPA Range

The 2026 bZ Woodland is powered by a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery pack and offers:

– Up to 281 miles of EPA-estimated range
– 260 miles with optional all-terrain tires

For charging, the SUV comes equipped with a North American Charging System (NACS) port, giving U.S. drivers expanded access to public DC fast-charging networks.

Under ideal conditions, DC fast charging can take the battery from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes. Battery pre-conditioning helps optimize charging speeds, especially in colder climates.

At home, the 11-kW onboard charger supports Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging. Toyota includes a dual-voltage (120V/240V) charging cable as standard equipment.

Midsize SUV Utility with Real Capability

The bZ Woodland isn’t just about power — it delivers practical SUV versatility for U.S. families and outdoor enthusiasts.

Key capability highlights:

– Up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity
– 74.3 cubic feet of cargo space with rear seats folded
– Standard roof rails
– 18-inch aluminum wheels with aero covers

Compared to the standard bZ SUV, the Woodland gains nearly six inches in length and additional rear height, translating into more usable cargo room.

Rugged Design with Modern EV Styling

Visually, the bZ Woodland adds black overfenders to Toyota’s signature hammerhead front design, reinforcing its off-road personality.

Exterior color options include: stepping stone (new), halo, steel, pavement, raven black and trueno blue.

Inside, buyers can choose stone brown or black interior themes with SofTex-trimmed seating surfaces.

Two Well-Equipped Trims

The 2026 bZ Woodland will be offered in two trims:

bZ Woodland AWD (Base)

Standard features include:

– Heated front and rear outboard seats
– Heated steering wheel
– 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen
– Dual wireless Qi chargers
– Digital Key capability

bZ Woodland Premium AWD

Adds:

– JBL 9-speaker premium audio system
– Ventilated front seats
– Radiant foot and leg heaters

Both trims offer optional all-terrain tires.

Advanced Tech and Connectivity

The 14-inch touchscreen runs Toyota’s latest Audio Multimedia system, supporting:

– Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™
– Dual Bluetooth connectivity
– Available Wi-Fi hotspot capability
– Cloud-based navigation
– Intelligent Assistant voice commands (“Hey Toyota”)

Remote Connect via the Toyota app enables remote climate control, charging management, digital key access and vehicle status monitoring.

Comprehensive Safety Suite

The bZ Woodland comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes:

– Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
– Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
– Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
– Lane Tracing Assist
– Road Sign Assist
– Automatic High Beams

Additional standard features include Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Safe Exit Alert and a Panoramic View Monitor with Multi-Terrain functionality.

Warranty Coverage for Peace of Mind

Toyota backs the bZ Woodland with:

– 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty
– 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty
– 8-year/100,000-mile EV battery coverage
– 2 years/25,000 miles of ToyotaCare maintenance
– 3 years of roadside assistance

Expanding Toyota’s U.S. EV Strategy

The bZ Woodland joins the refreshed bZ SUV and the all-new C-HR electric crossover as part of Toyota’s expanding electrified portfolio. With 21 electrified models across hybrid, plug-in hybrid, fuel cell and battery-electric powertrains, Toyota is clearly broadening its U.S. electrification push.

For American buyers looking for a powerful, adventure-ready electric SUV with real towing capacity and fast-charging capability, the 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland aims to deliver a compelling new option.

Pricing details are expected closer to launch.
