Ionna to install fast EV chargers at Casey’s stores

Ionna, the joint venture founded by the world’s leading automakers – BMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis, and Toyota – announced a new EV charging partnership with Casey’s, the third largest convenience store and fifth largest pizza chain in the U.S.

Beginning this year, drivers can recharge their EVs with fast, reliable 400 kW power dispensers while enjoying the convenience, comfort, and community that make Casey’s a trusted stop.

Ionna has already begun construction on its “Rechargery” EV charging parks at eight Casey’s locations in six states, with plans to open later this year.

The first sites—including locations in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas—will feature fast, reliable 400 kW charging points. Ionna’s announcement noted that the goal is to combine convenient EV charging with the community comfort of Casey’s stores. While this initial rollout is set, the full scope of the Casey’s partnership has not yet been detailed.

Renderings of one charging park show five covered stations, each with two charging points, strongly suggesting the use of Alpitronic’s 400 kW Hyperchargers. It remains unconfirmed whether all eight launch locations will feature this ten-point configuration.

The addition of these eight sites accelerates Ionna’s rapid growth.

The Ionna network now has over 900 charging stations (operational or under construction), a 100% increase in just three months.

The number of locations under contract has risen by 20% since July, thanks to new partnerships with convenience/restaurant chains Wawa and Sheetz.
