Volkswagen ID. Buzz 7-seat and high-performance ID. Buzz GTX available to order in the UK

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK opened the order books for three new ID. Buzz models, the super practical 7-seat, high-performance GTX and GTX 7-seat models.

Featuring even more space and an increased all-electric range, the larger, more family-friendly 7-seat variant is priced from £59,545 On the Road (OTR), with customer deliveries from early Autumn 2024. For the flagship GTX variant, prices start from £67,435 OTR, with customer deliveries starting in Winter 2024. The longer wheelbase GTX deliveries will start from Winter 2024, with prices starting from £67,945 OTR.

The ID. Buzz Life 7-seat 286 PS 86kWh Pro is available from £409 per month with 4.9% APR representative on a Personal Contract Plan (PCP), based on a 48-month, 10,000 mile per annum contract¥, which includes a £3,000 deposit contribution from Volkswagen Commerical Vehicles.

ID. Buzz customers will also benefit from Volkswagen Group’s partnership with energy experts, OVO, and its market-leading ‘Charge Anytime’ add-on, which allows customers to charge their vehicle for just 7p/kWh at home at any time of the day or night.

In addition, when Volkswagen Group customers sign up to OVO, they will receive up to 10,000 free miles3, followed by 1,000 free miles on their contract anniversary for three further years. Diesel and petrol car drivers could also bank thousands of EV miles to power their future electric car through OVO Beyond – the UK’s first ‘Energy Savings Account’ helping to reward customers planning to make the switch. They can ‘bank’ an extra 50 miles on top of the 100 EV miles per month for up to 24 months if they then go on to buy a new Volkswagen Group electric vehicle.

Built on the longer wheelbase model, the new ID. Buzz 7-seat features space for up to seven and an even larger luggage compartment, ready for any adventure. The increase in wheelbase also allows for the installation of an 86kWh battery, providing a WLTP range of up to 291 miles.

The larger 86kWh battery in the 7-seat model not only increases range, it’s capable of accepting rapid DC charging at up to 200kW allowing it to be charged from 10-80% in just 26 minutes. With 286PS, it allows the 7-seat model to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 7.9 seconds.

The new model delivers family-friendly flexibility, it comes with seven seats as standard, with a six-seat configuration also available. The second row seats slide and recline for extra comfort, while the third row can be completely removed from ID. Buzz 7-seat. All rear seats benefit from three-point safety belts; with ISOFIX mountings for child seats available on the outer seats of the second row and both third row seats.

The 7-seat model provides 306 litres of space behind the third seat row, increasing to up to 1,340 litres of luggage space with the third row folded flat or removed, and 2,469 litres when the second and third row seats are folded, making it perfect for carrying bikes, surfboards and kit for all the family. In addition, the Multiflex board adjustable boot floor creates a second loading level and, when the rear seats are folded down, a completely flat load area.

The flagship ID. Buzz GTX and GTX 7-seat are the most powerful models, featuring two electric motors that deliver 4MOTION four-wheel drive capability and 340PS total power output. the ID. Buzz GTX with 79kWh battery accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, while the long version with an 86kWh battery takes just slightly longer to complete the sprint at 6.5 seconds. This extra power gives the GTX a towing capacity of 1,800kg, and 1,600kg for the long wheelbase, making both ideal for outdoor pursuits.

With the ID. Buzz GTX, power comes from a 79kWh battery that delivers a WLTP range of 423km (262 miles). Capable of accepting rapid DC charging at up to 185kW, the lithium ion battery can be charged from 10-80% in just 26 minutes. The GTX 7-seat with 86kWh battery can be charged with a 200kW supply at DC quick-charging stations, delivering a WLTP range of 475 km (295 miles).
