BYD, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, achieved a new sales milestone in August with a record-breaking number of new energy vehicles (NEVs) sold. The company’s plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) continued their strong growth trajectory.
In August, BYD sold a total of 373,083 NEVs, surpassing its previous record set in July. This represents a 35.97% increase compared to the same period last year and an 8.97% increase from the previous month.
The company’s NEV lineup includes both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Passenger NEV sales reached 370,854 units in August, while commercial NEV sales totaled 2,229 units. Both categories saw significant year-over-year and month-over-month growth.
