USPS To Evaluate Canoo Electric Delivery Vehicles

High-tech mobility company Canoo will supply the United States Postal Service (USPS) with six battery-electric Canoo vehicles. The Postal Service will take delivery of these six right-hand drive versions of the LDV 190 in Q1 2024.

This aligns with the USPS’s comprehensive initiative to electrify its fleet, aiming for a total of over 66,000 EVs, with at least 45,000 of them actively on the roads by 2028. As part of this transition, the USPS has already announced the deployment of 9,250 Ford E-Transits nationwide and is currently evaluating Canoo as a potential supplier.

Canoo emphasizes that the supplied vehicles will incorporate their patented technologies, aiming to deliver improved functionality, safety, and ergonomics for USPS operations.

“The multi-purpose platform with steer-by-wire technology and a unique low-profile suspension system allows for a readily configurable right-hand drive system while maintaining desired roll and ride stability,” said Tony Aquila, Investor, Executive Chairman, and CEO of Canoo.

In a related news, Canoo delivered the first LDV 130 to the US vehicle rental company Kingbee.

As part of the agreement, Kingbee will purchase 9,300 Canoo vehicles with an option to increase to 18,600 vehicles, subject to availability. Kingbee will upfit, custom wrap, and deliver Canoo vehicles as work-ready fleet solutions for companies across the United States.
