Jean-Eric Vergne, the driver with the most titles in Formula E history and DS Automobiles brand ambassador for over than three years, has received the keys to a one-off DS 4 E-TENSE 225 PERFORMANCE LINE +. This model marks the significant partnership with the double Formula E champion who’s involved in the development of future designs and the acceleration of the electrification strategy.
Jean-Eric Vergne chose DS 4 because of its amazing proportions, its athletic and aerodynamic styling and its incredible light signature. In its most dynamic PERFORMANCE LINE + specification, DS 4 features an Alcantara interior enhanced by a perforated leather steering wheel with a forged carbon insert, finished with exclusive door sills bearing the double champion’s signature.
Exterior personalisation is the result of work carried out by DS DESIGN STUDIO PARIS. With this design, the team was committed to recreating the directions given by the driver, making it unique in a ‘pursuit of refined harmony’. The bi-tone finish subtly combines a new Satin Anthracite Grey with a Lacquered Black on the roof and extending to the bonnet, a first in a production DS. This is enhanced with carbon trim applied to the bottom of the doors, the rear bumper and the front splitter. The bonnet badge features the ‘JEV’ logo, which signs off this exclusive design.
This DS 4 has a 225hp plug-in hybrid powertrain. DS 4 E-TENSE 225 benefits from the expertise of DS PERFORMANCE and its four titles (Drivers and Teams) won in the 2019 and 2020 Formula E Championships, enabling it to achieve up to 34.8 miles in zero emissions mode on the WLTP combined cycle.

Jean-Eric Vergne will be at the wheel of the 3rd generation DS E-TENSE FE in the colours of the DS PENSKE Formula E Team next season which begins in January 2023.
