Toyota Is Recalling All Of Its Mirai Fuel-cell Sedans

Toyota is recalling its entire fleet of roughly 2,800 zero-emission Mirai cars on the road due to software issues with the output voltage generated by the fuel cell system.

The auto giant said it would call back about 2,843 Toyota Mirai vehicles made between November 2014 and December 2016 to repair the defect.

Recalls in Japan and the US will account for 2,700 vehicles while the remaining are in Europe and the United Arab Emirates.

Despite the worry created by the recall, Toyota has said that the error is a straightforward software fix that can be done in half an hour at a Toyota dealership.

Toyota launched the Mirai in December 2014 in Japan. The car, which the EPA says has a 312-mile range, debut in the U.S. market (just California) in fall 2015.
