Lucid Motors is expanding its presence in Europe’s used electric car market with the launch of Lucid Recharged Certified Pre-Owned, a new program designed to make its luxury electric vehicles more accessible to buyers.
The program is now available in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Norway, initially covering certified pre-owned models from the Lucid Air lineup. Each vehicle is inspected and reconditioned by Lucid before being offered for sale, with warranty coverage and roadside assistance included for additional peace of mind.
The launch gives buyers another way to enter the Lucid ownership experience without purchasing a brand-new vehicle. The company also plans to expand the program to include the Lucid Gravity SUV at a later date.
A key feature of Lucid Recharged is its combination of vehicle inspections, reconditioning, and warranty protection. Every eligible vehicle undergoes a detailed assessment before receiving certification, helping buyers better understand its condition and history.
Qualifying vehicles retain any remaining New Vehicle Limited Warranty coverage and receive at least one year of Lucid warranty coverage and Roadside Assistance through the program.
“Lucid Recharged reflects our commitment to making Lucid ownership more accessible and extends the Lucid ownership experience to more customers across Europe,” said Lawrence Hamilton, President of Europe at Lucid.
Hamilton added that each vehicle is inspected, reconditioned, and backed by Lucid to give customers greater confidence when buying a certified pre-owned model.
Not every used Lucid qualifies for the Recharged program. To be eligible, vehicles must be less than five years old, have fewer than 100,000 kilometers on the odometer, and pass a 163-point inspection.
Lucid also reconditions each vehicle to its retail standards. Buyers receive detailed inspection documentation, providing additional information about the vehicle’s condition and history before making a purchase.
These requirements establish a defined standard for vehicles sold through the program, distinguishing Lucid-certified models from used vehicles purchased through the wider second-hand market.
For buyers considering a pre-owned luxury electric car, warranty protection, vehicle condition, and access to manufacturer-backed support can be important factors in the purchasing decision.
Lucid Air Leads the Program, With Gravity Expected Later
The initial rollout focuses exclusively on vehicles from the Lucid Air family. The electric sedan lineup is known for its long-range capabilities, advanced technology, and premium positioning in the electric vehicle market.
The Lucid Gravity, the company’s all-electric SUV, is expected to join the certified pre-owned program at a later date. Adding the Gravity would give customers another body style to consider as more eligible vehicles become available.
Lucid says customers can browse available certified pre-owned vehicles through its online inventory. Additional vehicles will be listed as they become available, although inventory and model availability will vary by market.
A New Route Into Lucid Ownership in Europe
The launch of Lucid Recharged gives the company another way to reach customers who want a luxury electric vehicle but prefer to buy used rather than new.
