Geely Auto Expands UK Line-Up with New EX5 Ultra Flagship

Geely Auto UK has introduced a new flagship variant to its growing electric SUV portfolio, the EX5 Ultra, with first customer deliveries scheduled from May 5, 2026.

Positioned at the top of the EX5 range, the Ultra brings a larger battery, extended driving range, and added practicality—strengthening Geely’s push in the competitive UK electric vehicle market.

Bigger Battery, Longer Range

At the core of the Geely EX5 Ultra is a 68.39 kWh battery pack, delivering a WLTP-rated range of up to 280 miles. This upgrade provides improved long-distance usability while maintaining the smooth performance expected from vehicles built on Geely’s Global Electric Architecture.

Performance remains competitive for the segment, with the EX5 Ultra accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in 7.6 seconds and producing 320 Nm of torque. The balance between efficiency and responsiveness positions the model as a practical daily driver with enough power for motorway travel.

Added Practicality with Towing Capability

For the first time in the EX5 line-up, the Ultra introduces a 750 kg braked towing capacity. Supported by Trailer Stability Assist, this addition enhances the vehicle’s versatility, making it suitable for light towing duties such as small trailers or leisure equipment—an increasingly important feature for EV buyers.

Premium Features and New Design Option

The EX5 Ultra also debuts a new exterior colour, Rainforest Green, expanding the model’s visual appeal. Inside, the flagship trim builds on the already well-equipped EX5 range with a suite of premium features.

Standard equipment across the EX5 line includes a 15.4-inch infotainment display, 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, surround-view camera, and wireless smartphone integration. The Ultra further adds high-end touches such as a 13.8-inch head-up display, a 16-speaker FlyMe audio system, panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, and ventilated front seats with massage functionality.

Pricing and Availability

The EX5 Ultra is priced at £38,990 (OTR), while the broader EX5 range starts from £31,990. All variants come with an eight-year warranty covering both the vehicle and battery, addressing long-term ownership concerns.

To support the transition to electric mobility, Geely is continuing its partnership with Andersen EV, offering customers a dual-branded 7 kW smart home charger with installation for £499—significantly below its typical market value.

Strengthening Geely’s UK EV Strategy

The introduction of the EX5 Ultra reflects Geely’s strategy to deliver higher-spec electric vehicles at competitive price points. With extended range, improved usability, and enhanced features, the new flagship model is designed to appeal to a broader audience seeking value-driven electric SUVs in the UK market.
