Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) closed the past year with solid global performance, delivering 393,700 vehicles to customers worldwide. Including deliveries in North America—where the ID. Buzz continues its rollout—total deliveries reached approximately 401,000 units.
A major growth driver was the all-electric ID. Buzz, which recorded an impressive 102 percent year-on-year increase. In total, 60,700 customers worldwide received their new ID. Buzz. The Multivan also enjoyed a record-breaking year, with deliveries rising 31 percent to 38,700 units—making 2025 the most successful year in the model’s history. Overall, VWCV doubled its global all-electric vehicle deliveries to 65,900 units in 2025, representing a 16.4 percent share of total sales.
“2025 brought many challenges but also real highlights for us at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles,” said Lars Krause, Member of the Board of Management for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales at VWCV. “The ID. Buzz continues to grow steadily, is the clear market leader in its segment in Europe, and is further strengthening this position.”
Despite a slow ramp-up of the all-electric transporter market—particularly in the United States—VWCV surpassed the global milestone of 60,000 ID. Buzz deliveries. The Multivan also delighted customers, achieving its highest delivery volume ever. Meanwhile, the Transporter, the third model in VWCV’s iconic Bulli lineup, entered additional markets in 2025 and achieved a solid result of around 71,200 units.
The ID. Buzz remains Europe’s leading electric transporter in the B-segment and continues to perform particularly well among commercial customers, with Cargo versions accounting for around 46 percent of total sales. VWCV plans to expand this offering in 2026, including the introduction of the ID. Buzz Cargo with a long wheelbase.
Despite challenging market and customs conditions, 7,300 ID. Buzz units were delivered in North America in 2025, contributing to the global total of 60,700 vehicles.
The Multivan continues to embody VWCV’s promise of “space for needs and dreams.” With deliveries up 31 percent to 38,700 vehicles, 2025 marked the strongest year yet for the Hannover-built model. Based on the same technical platform, an additional 14,200 California camper vans were delivered during the year.
The new Transporter was launched in additional markets in 2025, with further expansion planned for 2026. Customers will be able to choose from 13 body variants, including the iconic double-cab Transporter, as well as 11 powertrain options featuring new plug-in hybrid and all-electric all-wheel-drive versions. The lineup will offer up to nine cubic meters of cargo space, payloads of up to 1.33 tons, and towing capacities of up to 2.3 tons—ensuring a solution for virtually every professional need.
The Caddy once again exceeded the 100,000-vehicle mark in 2025, with 110,400 units delivered—up from 107,200 the previous year. Since 2025, the popular city delivery van has also been available as a plug-in hybrid, enabling purely electric driving. Alongside models such as the ID. Buzz, Transporter, Multivan, and California, the Caddy continues to evolve as a modern solution for both families and urban commercial users.
VWCV’s largest commercial vehicle, the Crafter, continued its growth trajectory with deliveries rising to 73,000 units in 2025. In December, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles laid the foundation stone for expanding production of the next-generation e-Crafter at its Września plant in Poland. This expansion will play a key role in completing VWCV’s future electric portfolio.
The Amarok experienced a more challenging year, with deliveries reaching 30,100 units—down from 33,700 the year before. The decline was largely due to the phase-out of the first Amarok generation in South America, where only 1,000 vehicles were delivered in 2025 compared with 18,400 in the previous year. Development of the Amarok successor for the South American market is currently underway at Volkswagen Passenger Cars.
Toward the end of 2025, VWCV introduced the Amarok Dark Label in selected markets—a stylish all-wheel-drive pick-up that has already attracted strong interest, continuing the appeal of the model’s previous generation.
