Hyundai to unveil its biggest EV yet at the Brussels Motor Show 2026

Hyundai is preparing to unveil what it calls its “biggest EV yet” at the Brussels Motor Show next month. The upcoming model is expected to highlight Hyundai’s latest EV innovations, including a cutting-edge 800-volt fast-charging architecture.

Based on the teaser image, the silhouette closely resembles the Hyundai Staria, strongly hinting that the long-anticipated Staria EV may finally be making its debut.

While European buyers may not share the global appetite for oversized SUVs, vans remain hugely popular across the region. That makes the arrival of an electric Staria a logical next step. For those unfamiliar, the Hyundai Staria is a futuristic-looking van that has been on the market since 2021, offered in both passenger and cargo configurations worldwide. Its sleek design, distinctive LED light bar, and refined Hyundai styling make it one of the most eye-catching vans on the road today.

Currently available with petrol, diesel, LPG, and hybrid powertrains, the Staria is already known for its versatility. Introducing a fully electric version—especially for the European market—feels like a natural evolution.

The Staria EV won’t be the only highlight at Hyundai’s Brussels showcase. The brand will also celebrate the world premiere of another new electric model, further expanding its EV portfolio, which already spans from the compact INSTER to the flagship IONIQ 9. Meanwhile, the updated IONIQ 6 will make its first European motor show appearance, featuring aerodynamic refinements alongside improvements to interior technology and digital systems.

Beyond the new vehicle debuts, Hyundai’s stand will feature a dedicated N Zone, giving visitors hands-on exposure to the high-performance IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N. There will also be an interactive arcade gaming area centered around INSTEROID, a bold design concept based on the INSTER EV. With its video game-inspired visuals and aggressive styling, INSTEROID serves as a creative exploration of Hyundai’s design philosophy beyond production models.

Looking further ahead, Hyundai is also preparing to expand its IONIQ lineup at the opposite end of the spectrum. The company plans to launch the IONIQ 3, a compact electric hatchback, in Europe in 2026, positioning it as a smaller, more accessible sibling to the IONIQ 5.
