IVECO to deliver 87 eDaily electric school minibuses to Italy

IVECO BUS has been awarded the tender issued by the Campania Mobility Infrastructure and Networks Agency (Acamir) for the supply of 87 eDAILY school minibuses, aimed at modernising student transport in the Campania region.

The tender covers vehicles under 8 metres, specifically designed for extra-urban and interurban routes. The project aims to reduce environmental impact while enhancing the safety of primary and secondary school transport. It spans the entire Campania region, including all its provinces, with special focus on improving mobility services in inland areas and small municipalities.

Giorgio ZINO, Head of IVECO BUS Commercial Operations in Europe, stated: “We are proud to contribute to the modernisation of student transport in the Campania region with a fleet of eDAILY school minibuses. Designed and manufactured in Italy, these vehicles combine safety, sustainability and comfort. This project represents a major step towards zero-emission mobility, offering safer and more environmentally friendly transport for the region’s youth.”

With over 40 years of experience, IVECO BUS is the only manufacturer to offer 100% electric minibuses specifically designed for school transport and manufactured in Italy. The DAILY platform, first introduced in 1978, is now available in an electric version.

On board, every detail is designed for passenger and driver comfort and safety: USB sockets and air conditioning, destination displays, a lift ramp and a dedicated space for people with reduced mobility. The vehicles are also equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), video surveillance cameras, GPS tracking connected to an operations centre, and motion sensors with an emergency alert system.
