Citroen Ami continues to redefine the codes of micro-mobility with the special edition Dark Side, which unveils a new personality for Ami. For the past five years, Ami has been transforming the roadscape with a design inspired more by cartoons than automotive codes.
It has a friendly and cheerful attitude, supported by a unique design based on the symmetry of its parts. In 2025, it was restyled with a more robust and mature style, introducing the new Night Sepia shade, while retaining its cheerful front face reminiscent of a smiling expression.
A playground for designers and a multifaceted object, the enfant terrible of electric micromobility awakens the dark side of the Watt this Halloween season. With the new Ami Dark Side special edition, it features a brand-new Black Night color: a deep matte black which completely transforms its personality, enlivened by white graphic elements (stickers, wheel trims). While preserving its fun and offbeat spirit, it takes on a rebellious or elegant personality depending on the mood. This Dark Side version is faithful to Citroen’s promise: easy, accessible mobility that reflects everyone’s image.
With Dark Side, Ami continues to energize the territory it pioneered in 2020, offering a gentle micromobility solution that filled a gap in many households. A 100% electric mobility object, compact, affordable, and usable from age 14 depending on the country, it provides a safe solution with two seats protected from the elements, easy handling, a top speed of 45 km/h, and a range of 75 km. Nearly 85,000 Ami units have been sold since launch. Orders for the Dark Side edition open on October 31, with first deliveries expected in January 2026.
This new special edition maintains the range’s new design but features a singular exterior and graphic animations that change its attitude.
An exclusive shade: still compact and mischievous, Ami explores a new vibe by adopting a black body color for the first time. Named Black Night, this exclusive shade is a deep matte black. With this color, the atmosphere is either bold and rebellious, or stylish and elegant. It can be stealthy, or on the contrary, fearless and full of temperament.
This black tone contrasts with white graphic elements that bring it to life:
– In 2025, Ami showcases a new face, still friendly but more mature thanks to sharper sections. Its headlights, framed by black eyelid-like decor, are raised to the base of the windshield, giving it a more expressive look. These two lights are connected by a new molded capsule in relief shaped like a wide smile, enhancing Ami’s cheerful and welcoming nature. Specifically for Ami Dark Side, this capsule features a matte black finish subtly outlined with a white trim. This piece highlights the brand’s logo, which also adopts a white color.
– To emphasize contrast, the Dark Side special edition uses wheel trims from the Icy Color Pack. These graphically define Ami’s side profile with a checkerboard of white cubes. The theme is extended with a unique black-and-white sticker placed on the rear quarter panel, featuring rounded-corner cube motifs. This design also appears on dedicated graphics at the bottom of the doors.
To boost its personality and suggest dynamism, Ami Dark Side includes a prominent rear spoiler.
Inside, with the Color Pack Dark Side: three storage boxes on the dashboard, a bag hook in front of the passenger seat, and light grey storage nets matching the grey stitching on the floor mats. These grey tones bring a touch of brightness to the interior.
Ami Dark Side offers onboard comfort with infotainment centered around a smartphone holder, which consolidates all customer apps, and My Ami Play. The My Ami Play app centralizes infotainment, controlled via the steering wheel using the Citroen Switch button, which manages radio, navigation, and phone apps (calls, music, etc.). With the My Citroen app, the My Connect Box software provides vehicle status updates (charge and range management, mileage, etc.).
