AVATR Unveils XPECTRA Emotive Intelligent Concept at IAA Mobility

Chinese premium electric vehicle brand AVATR made a splash at its brand day event in Munich, unveiling a groundbreaking concept car: the XPECTRA.

The XPECTRA was born in AVATR’s global design center in Munich, a hub of creativity led by Chief Designer Nader Faghihzadeh. The studio is a melting pot of nearly 200 professionals from 25 countries, blending rich European design heritage with avant-garde aesthetics to bring AVATR’s vision of intelligent mobility to life.

The name “XPECTRA” itself signals a new kind of luxury, one built on seamless connectivity and multidimensional integration. Inspired by the “power of natural energy,” the car features AVATR’s innovative Smart Light Key technology, which uses touch and gesture recognition. This allows drivers to effortlessly switch between advanced assisted driving and full autonomy.

At the heart of the dashboard is a central element called the “vortex,” which houses a “living AI entity” designed to interact with the car’s occupants. For the interface, a circular “cortex” on the center console blends touch and gesture controls. The design team even created custom champagne glasses and carry-on accessories to match the car’s interior.

The XPECTRA is a massive vehicle, stretching 230 inches (5,843 mm) long, 83.9 inches (2,132 mm) wide, and 55.3 inches (1,405 mm) tall. Its wheelbase measures 135.8 inches (3,450 mm), making it a full 32.4 inches longer than AVATR’s largest current model. In fact, the XPECTRA’s size is comparable to the Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase.

Munich serves as a strategic launchpad for AVATR as it accelerates its global expansion. The brand is building its competitive edge by leveraging the strengths of its partners:

– Changan Automobile’s four decades of engineering expertise.
– CATL’s leadership in battery safety and efficiency.
– Innovative solutions from leading ICT partners in smart mobility.

This collaboration gives AVATR an advantage across R&D, production, supply chain, and sales. With an ambitious plan to enter over 50 countries and regions in 2025, AVATR is on track to establish more than 160 retail and service outlets worldwide.

AVATR currently offers four models: ‌AVATR 11, AVATR 12, AVATR 07, and AVATR 06‌. It holds nearly ‌10% of the UAE’s luxury EV market, ‌has become ‌Thailand’s highly recognized luxury EV brand‌, and earned widespread acclaim in ‌Singapore‌ just weeks after its launch. AVATR’s global community now reaches nearly 190,000 owners.
