Lucid Gravity X is Off-Road-Focused Concept for Electric Exploration

Lucid Group revealed the Lucid Gravity X (Gravity Cross) concept, an SUV that redefines what a trail-ready adventure vehicle could be.

The concept vehicle was officially unveiled at a private event on the 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links and will make its first public appearance on the Concept Lawn of the 74th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, August 17.

The Lucid Gravity X concept is designed to combine advanced on- and off-road readiness to explore the world and uses a Lucid Gravity Grand Touring as its foundation.

“Lucid Gravity has redefined the limits of what an uncompromising SUV can achieve. The Lucid Gravity X concept expands on these core principles to explore new possibilities off the beaten path while showcasing the incredible capabilities of the Lucid Gravity,” said Derek Jenkins, SVP Design and Brand at Lucid. “Lucid’s range, power and versatility make it an ideal vehicle for those adventurers looking to explore further offroad.”

Equipped for Adventure

The Lucid Gravity X embodies refined ruggedness and quiet capability, readying it for electric exploration.

Taking advantage of Lucid Gravity’s unmatched versatility, the Lucid Gravity X concept features redesigned front and rear fascias to improve approach and departure angles, while a widened track, lifted ride height, 21/22” all-terrain tires, and protective skid plates deliver enhanced trail performance. Integrated crossbars, a roof box, and tow hooks mean nothing gets left behind.

Inspired by those that leave the ordinary behind, the Lucid Gravity X embodies refined ruggedness. Astral Drift satin paint, orange accents, brushed metal finishes, and Lucid’s signature Stealth Appearance infuse a look of elevated exploration to the body. Every detail is intentional, including the topographical references to Big Sur and Death Valley applied to the hood, as well as the geographic coordinates of Pebble Beach stamped onto the sill plates and rocker trim.

Protective skid plates and integrated tow hooks improve offroad functionality, while its sleek silhouette retains Lucid’s exceptional aerodynamics.

Rugged Refinement

Bold orange accents along the exterior of the vehicle create a striking contrast against a specially developed Astral Drift rugged satin paint finish and Lucid’s darkened Stealth Appearance. Front and rear fascias are finished in brushed metal, further elevating the exterior with a tactile material.

Inside the Lucid Gravity X concept, drivers and passengers alike can find the comfort, design and spaciousness drivers have quickly come to love in the Lucid Gravity. Premium leather seats and high-performance floor mats protect the vehicle during any adventure, while a microsuede steering wheel offers enhanced grip and ensures precise control on all terrains. Premium walnut wood inlays further connect you to the natural world.

Inspired by iconic California road trip locations and the state’s diverse environments, from beaches to deserts to mountains, topography maps of Big Sur and Death Valley are etched onto the recesses on the hood of Lucid Gravity X. The concept vehicle also features unique sill plates and rocker trim featuring the coordinates of Pebble Beach to mark its debut at the 74th edition of the program.
