Just two weeks after teasing us with the Super EV Concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Honda has unveiled its adorable, all-electric kei car: the N-ONE e:.
Honda plans to launch the N-ONE e: in Japan this fall, with pre-orders kicking off on August 1st. The new EV will even qualify for a generous subsidy of 574,000 yen (approximately 3,300 euros).
While the Super EV Concept was shown in the UK, Honda hasn’t yet revealed any plans to sell the production version of the N-ONE e: in overseas markets.
The N-ONE e: marks Honda’s second electric kei car, following in the tire tracks of the N-VAN e:. While it shares some technical DNA with its commercial sibling, Honda is keeping the full details of its powertrain and battery under wraps for now. However, they’ve confirmed a WLTC range of over 270 km, outperforming the N-VAN e: by 25 km. For reference, the N-VAN e: offers motors with 39 kW/162 Nm or 47 kW/162 Nm, powered by a 29.6 kWh battery pack.

One clever feature of the N-ONE e: is its dual charging ports, both conveniently located at the front. This makes head-in parking at charging stations a breeze! The right-side port handles normal charging, while the left-side port is for speedy fast charging. But that’s not all – the N-ONE e: also supports vehicle-to-home (V2H) bi-directional charging. This means you can use your car as a backup power source for your home during outages.
If the N-ONE e: looks familiar, that’s because its design is clearly inspired by the petrol-powered N-ONE. However, this electric version takes things up a notch with a more futuristic and undeniably charming character. The sleek clamshell bonnet, the flattened top of the round headlights, and the wide, upright front fascia give it a confident and assertive look. Add in the 14-inch six-spoke alloy wheels and clear LED tail lamps, and you’ve got a funky, modern aesthetic.

The interior of the N-ONE e: also boasts a noticeable upgrade over its predecessor. You’ll find a sleek new dashboard with a cohesive design, a stylish two-spoke steering wheel, and a cleaner center console featuring a convenient push-button gear selector.
A digital instrument cluster completes the modern feel. Honda will offer the N-ONE e: in G and L grades, with the latter coming equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring satellite navigation.
