Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Shatters Electric Vehicle Lap Record at Nürburgring Nordschleife

Chinese technology giant Xiaomi announced an historic achievement: its Xiaomi SU7 Ultra production model has set the Fastest Electric Executive Vehicle record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a blistering lap time of 7:04.957 minutes.

Equipped with the optional track package, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra conquered the legendary circuit on its first attempt, establishing itself as the undisputed leader in high-performance electric vehicles.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra’s ability to achieve this milestone lap time of 7:04.957 minutes is a testament to Xiaomi EV’s relentless pursuit of track performance. Its extreme “three core electric technologies” (electric motor, power battery, and motor control unit), chassis torque-vectoring control, and aerodynamic design laid a solid foundation for this new record.

The production model of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra implements track-proven engineering solutions, maintaining both the complete “three core electric technologies” (electric motor, power battery, and motor control unit) and the identical tri-motor configuration from Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Prototype. This powertrain setup, consisting of two V8s and one V6s e-motors, delivers a formidable combined maximum power output of 1,548 PS. Such engineering enables breathtaking acceleration from 0-100 km/h in as low as 1.98 seconds (with one foot rollout subtracted) and pushes the top speed beyond 350 km/h.

The racetrack is the ultimate test of technology and the birthplace of innovation. The sustained high-speed, high-temperature conditions of the track push EV powertrains to their limits. Behind this lap time lies Xiaomi EV’s unwavering commitment to refining technology and enhancing vehicle quality, reliability, and safety.

Notably, Xiaomi EV has recently reached a deep cooperation with the Nürburgring, becoming a premium partner of the Nürburgring. Moreover, a new “Xiaomi Curve” has been added to the Grand Prix track. At the same time, Xiaomi EV is now a member of the Nürburgring’s test and development drives (commonly known as the Industry Pool).

As part of its long-term commitment to innovation, Xiaomi EV will leverage its Nürburgring partnership to accelerate EV development, using the legendary circuit as a proving ground for next-generation technologies that will redefine performance standards worldwide.
