Jeep reveals UK pricing for Compass Electric and Compass PHEV

Jeep announced pricing and specification of the new Compass First Edition as orders are set to open in the UK in Q3, with prices starting from £35,700 OTR.

The latest evolution of the successful Compass, a C-SUV that has captivated over 2.5 million customers worldwide since its debut in 2006, introduces a distinctive new design offering greater space, versatility and capability.

Jeep Compass First Edition presents a unique, limited-edition model ready to make a statement with exclusive styling that enhances the unmistakable bold Jeep design. The First Edition also marks the debut of a fully electric powertrain on Compass, featuring front-wheel drive and a range of up to 310 miles.

Powertrain performance to meet every need

Designed for everyday adventure, the Compass First Edition e-Hybrid is equipped with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine that is assisted by a 21kWh electric motor for a maximum power output of 145hp. This powertrain offers electric driving at low speeds in urban areas without the need for charging.

Compass First Edition is also available with a fully electric powertrain. It features a 74kWh battery coupled with an electric motor that delivers 213hp and 345Nm of torque. Charging is quick, with a rapid 160kW DC solution offering a 30 minute 20-80% recharge time.

In addition to e-Hybrid and fully electric variants, the Jeep Compass range will also be available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 51-mile electric only range and an additional two electric variants. A two-wheel drive 230hp variant with up to 402 miles of range and a four-wheel drive variant that offers all the off-road capabilities expected of a Jeep together with an electric powertrain capable of delivering up to 372 miles on a single charge.

New Compass features the capabilities expected of a Jeep. With a ground clearance of up to 200mm, approach angle of 20 degrees, breakover angle of 15 degrees and departure angle of 26 degrees, the new Compass is equipped to handle tough terrains with ease. The vehicle’s water fording depth up to 470mm (408mm on e-Hybrid) highlights its ability to tackle the most challenging environments. Selec-terrain is standard across all versions, allowing drivers to switch between modes tailored for specific driving conditions.

Exterior

Compass is available in a choice of six colours. As standard, Compass First Edition will be available in Hawaii (brilliant green) with Pacific (blue), Antarctica (white), Amazonia (green with brown hues), Yosemite (grey), and Vulcano (black) are also available as an option. For peace of mind, all new Compass is complemented by a 360-degree protective material that shields the lower vehicle from scratches – whether in the city or on adventurous outings.

All colour choices extend across a body-coloured roof. Customers also have the option to pair their colour choice with a black roof.

As standard, both the e-Hybrid and full-electric versions of the Compass First Edition will feature premium alloy wheels. Reflecting the rugged nature of Compass, the e-Hybrid features 18-inch alloys painted in a gloss grey, while the fully electric variant benefits from 20-inch alloys painted black with a machine-faced finish.

Interior

Beyond its off-road prowess, the new Compass First Edition offers more interior space and remarkable versatility, while remaining one of the most compact vehicles manufactured from STLA Medium platform (with a total length of only 4.55m). It provides 55mm of additional legroom, a 34-litre front interior storage compartment and a boot capacity of 550L. The 40/20/40 rear seat split, standard across all versions, allows for ultimate flexibility, making it as functional for passengers as it is for cargo.

With an impressive balance between rugged off-road capability and seamless daily usability, both trims benefit from a generous list of cabin comforts and conveniences including heated seats and steering wheel, dual-zone air conditioning, personalised ambient lighting, power folding heated mirrors, passive entry/keyless go, as well as a 10-inch instrument cluster and a 16-inch infotainment screen and Level 2 Autonomous driving. The fully electric variant also includes pre-conditioning and a heat pump as standard.

Option packs

As standard, Compass First Edition is equipped with an impressive array of technology and driver assistance systems. To further enhance its comfort and practicality, customers can pick from three optional packs.

Convenience Pack First Edition: Driving experience and safety is assisted with a 360-degree camera, lateral parking sensors and blind spot monitoring.

ADAS Pack: To assist driver needs for a more enjoyable and efficient journey, this pack features Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control, rear cross-traffic alert, active blind spot detection, semi-automated lane change and Head-up display.

Premium Pack First Edition: For the ultimate in-car experience, drivers can enjoy a premium audio system, full vinyl seats, driver and passenger eight-way powered seats, ventilated and massaging front seats for both driver and passenger and gloss black painted lowers.

Drivers can also choose to maximise the ambience within the cabin with a dual-pane sunroof.

On fully electric variants, an optional on-board 22kW charger is also available.
