GM launches Cadillac LYRIQ-V in Europe

Cadillac is bringing its performance legacy into the electric era with the 2026 LYRIQ-V, the first model to carry the V-Series badge on an all-electric vehicle – and the quickest Cadillac ever built. The V-Series badge embodies Cadillac’s relentless pursuit of excellence and showcases the brand’s ability to compete with the highest levels of engineering excellence through racing and production vehicles.

Blending exhilarating power with refined luxury, the LYRIQ-V is engineered for European drivers seeking a high-performance EV without compromise.

The LYRIQ-V delivers an estimated 615 horsepower (460 kW) and 880 Nm of torque via a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. When using Velocity Max mode, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, making it the most powerful and quickest production Cadillac to-date.

A 91-kWh battery underpins the LYRIQ-V, offering a Cadillac-estimated driving range of up to 460 km (WLTP). With a 190 kW DC fast charger, the LYRIQ-V can add up to 159 kilometers of range in around 15 minutes, enabling swift top-ups and added peace of mind on longer journeys.

Performance-focused features include:

– Adaptive Continuous Damping Control and recalibrated multi-link suspension
– Quickened steering ratio for sharp, agile handling
– Launch Control and Competitive Mode for enhanced driver control
– Standard Brembo performance brakes for reliable, fade-resistant stopping power
– Regen on Demand via aluminium steering paddle

Thanks to its low centre of gravity and well-balanced chassis, LYRIQ-V offers precise, confident driving dynamics – whether on winding roads or in everyday conditions.

Driver-Focused Technology

At the core of the LYRIQ-V experience is V-Mode, a customisable performance setting that allows drivers to fine-tune acceleration, braking, steering feel, suspension stiffness, and sound design. It is activated via a dedicated V button on the steering wheel or through the car’s 33-inch curved LED display.

When engaged, Velocity Max unleashes peak performance, including maximum acceleration and launch capability.

Additional technology highlights include:

– Multi-layered sound signature, synchronised for interior and exterior feedback
– 23-speaker AKG Studio audio system with Dolby Atmos
– Augmented Reality Head-Up Display
– Next-generation Active Noise Cancellation using suspension input and targeted sound compensation

Inspired by Cadillac’s LMDh race car, LYRIQ-V delivers a tailored sonic experience that responds to driver input, bringing performance to life through sound as much as motion.

A Performance Statement by Design

Cadillac has long been known for bold, expressive design — from its dramatic tailfins of the 1950s to today’s distinctive vertical lighting and precision-crafted silhouettes. The LYRIQ-V continues this legacy, blending athleticism with elegance in a way that’s unmistakably Cadillac.

The LYRIQ-V expresses its V-Series pedigree through bold, dynamic styling cues:

– V-Series badging, V-pattern grille mesh and aggressive front fascia
– 22-inch wheels with etched V-Series logos and dark sport finish
– Body-colored lower trim, aerodynamic rockers and optional carbon fibre accents
– Standard black-painted roof
– Available exterior colours include Argent Silver Metallic, Opulent Blue Metallic, Stellar Black Metallic, Radiant Red Tintcoat, Nimbus Metallic, and Emerald Lake Metallic

Refined Interior with a Driver’s Edge

Inside, LYRIQ-V pairs luxury materials with purposeful detailing that enhances the driving experience. Notable features include:

– Nappa leather seating with V-pattern embroidery
– Power-adjustable bolsters for driver and front passenger
– V-Series steering wheel with V-Mode button, Regen paddle and sculpted grip
– V-Series illuminated sill plates and paperwood décor
– Panoramic fixed-glass roof
– 33-inch curved LED display with custom V-Series themes and infotainment options

The result is a cabin that feels refined and modern — with a clear performance-focus.

A European Debut Honouring Cadillac’s Racing Legacy

The launch of the LYRIQ-V in Europe coincides with one of motorsport’s most iconic events: the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In tribute to Cadillac’s racing heritage dating back to 1950 and its ongoing commitment to high-performance innovation, the brand is unveiling its first all-electric V-Series model during race week.

One LYRIQ-V will be on display trackside at Le Mans, while a second will be showcased at Cadillac City Paris — giving visitors in the French capital an up-close look at the boldest expression yet of Cadillac’s electric future.

Market Launch and Availability

The LYRIQ-V will join Cadillac’s growing all-electric line-up in Europe — alongside LYRIQ and VISTIQ — in Germany, France and Switzerland with the all-new OPTIQ set to arrive later this year.

Orders open June 2025 for Germany, France and Switzerland, with first customer deliveries expected from November.
