Skoda Auto unveiled the Elroq Respectline, a unique concept car featuring a distinctive exterior and interior design developed to reflect the company’s core values of mutual respect, diversity, and inclusion. Making its debut during European Diversity Month, the Elroq Respectline also serves as a bold statement in support of human rights and the fair, equitable treatment of all individuals.
The Skoda Elroq Respectline stands as a vibrant tribute to diversity and the company’s rich Czech heritage. Its striking exterior features a bold, colourful design, with the stylised “háček” – inspired by the diacritical mark in the Czech letter “S” – serving as a central visual motif.
Playfully integrated throughout the car’s exterior and interior, this emblem pays homage to Skoda’s origins and proudly reflects a legacy that began in 1895.
The Elroq Respectline will make its first public appearance on 9 May at the Best Cars 2025 awards in Hamburg, followed by a showcase at Skoda’s in-house music festival in Mladá Boleslav on 10 May.
A key highlight of the front design is the Tech-Deck Face grille, enhanced with animated LED rainbow lighting. Widely recognised as a symbol of the LGBT+ community, the rainbow serves as a broader reminder of societal diversity and the value of every individual. The expressive rainbow theme, together with the vivid and imaginative interior, showcases how diverse identities and perspectives can unite to create positive energy and mutual respect.
Inside, the Elroq Respectline continues its message of individuality and inclusivity. Using recycled materials from the Elroq model, combined with progressive rainbow embroidery on the seats, distinctive embossing details, and colorful décor elements.
The new Elroq Respectline follows on from the Enyaq Respectline, which has been showcased at numerous events to highlight Skoda’s core values of mutual respect, diversity, and inclusion. The Elroq Respectline will make its public debut at two key events this week: first on Friday, 9 May, at the Best Cars 2025 awards presented by auto motor und sport magazine in Hamburg, Germany, followed by its appearance at Skoda’s internal music festival in Mladá Boleslav on 10 May.
Throughout the summer, the Elroq Respectline will continue to spread its message at a variety of prominent cultural and public events. These include the Metronome Prague music festival, Prague Pride, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra’s Open Air concert, and stages of the Tour de France—reinforcing Skoda’s belief in the power of diversity to inspire and unite communities across Europe.
For the fifth consecutive year, Skoda Auto is participating European Diversity Month. In addition to unveiling the Elroq Respectline, the company is hosting a series of internal initiatives throughout May, including lectures, workshops, and awareness-raising activities for employees.
Skoda Auto’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is firmly embedded in its Next Level Skoda Strategy and further articulated in its Diversity Strategy 2030. The company also regularly publishes its Annual Sustainability Report and Diversity Report, which will follow later this month.
Maren Gräf, Skoda Auto Board Member for People & Culture, says: “Diversity, equity, inclusion, and mutual understanding are cornerstones of Skoda’s corporate culture. With the new Elroq Respectline, we are introducing a Skoda brand ambassador that embodies these values. Our goal at Skoda Auto is to be a role model in caring for our employees and fostering a safe, open, and fair workplace for all. For many years, we have been building our corporate culture on these principles – in close cooperation with our social partner KOVO Union, Skoda Auto employee groups, and many inspiring organizations and experts. We are proud of our commitment to promoting human rights and mutual respect, and we believe the Elroq Respectline will help us carry these values even further.”
