Renault 5 E-Tech electric goes on general sale in the UK

The Renault 5 E-Tech electric – one of the year’s most hotly anticipated new cars – is now on general sale across the UK, with the recently-crowned three-time Car of the Year winner costing from £22,995 OTR.

Customers can purchase their new Renault 5 via a host of accessible launch finance offers available until the end of March.

These include 48-month, 5.5% APR representative PCP deals that start at £249 per month with a £555 deposit contribution.

Alternatively, there is a 0% APR representative PCP offer across the range, meaning that for £182 per month over a 24-month period with a minimum 30% deposit, customers can drive away in a Renault 5 E-Tech electric evolution 120hp urban range, enjoying features including 18-inch black diamond-cut alloy wheels and wireless smartphone replication compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

There is the option of 5.5% APR representative, 48-month PCP offers with matching deposit and monthly payments. These see the Renault 5 E-Tech electric evolution 120hp urban range available with monthly payments of £324 and a deposit of £324 (including a finance deposit contribution of £555), or £409 per month with a deposit of £409 (including a finance deposit contribution of £955) for the iconic 150hp comfort range with ‘ 5’ bonnet charging indicator, LED headlights, rear view camera and heated front seats and steering wheel.

With five versions to choose from across three trim levels – evolution, techno, and iconic five – and either a 40kWh urban range battery with 120hp or a 52kWh comfort range battery with 150hp and a range of up to 252 miles, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric has already won 16 awards, including being voted European Car of the Year 2025.

The Renault 5 E-Tech electric is filled with the latest technology. With Google services built-in and EV-optimised navigation, it can recharge to 80% in only 30 minutes. The My Renault app allows drivers to monitor charging, pre-set the cabin to their desired temperature or search for charging stations remotely. All models come with a heat-pump as standard, as well as vehicle-to-load (V2L) bi-directional charging functionality.

Despite its city-friendly proportions, the five-door Renault 5 E-Tech electric offers comfortable seating for five as well as a practical 326-litre boot, complete with dedicated storage for charging cables.

A range of vibrant body colours is available, two of which – Pop Yellow! and Pop Green! – are reminiscent of iconic shades that were present in the 1970s catalogue, with an intense sparkle-effect. All models in the range wear 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels as standard.

The opening of orders follows Renault 5 R Pass customers enjoying an exclusive two-week window to place their orders ahead of today. R Pass customers who took advantage of the opportunity will be among the first behind the wheel and, if they purchased their car through Mobilize Financial Services, enjoy a unique-to-them offer of up to three years’ free servicing.

R Pass customers who are still undecided on their perfect specification or colour have until 31st March to order their Renault 5 E-Tech electric and still benefit from the servicing offer.
