BYD has shattered its own sales records, delivering an impressive 419,426 New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in September 2024.
This marks the company’s best-ever monthly performance, surpassing the previous high set in August.
The company’s strong growth is driven by both battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). In September, BYD sold 164,956 passenger BEVs and 252,647 passenger PHEVs. These figures represent year-over-year increases of 9.1% and 86.17%, respectively.
BYD’s global expansion is also gaining momentum. Overseas sales in September reached 33,012 units, a 17.74% increase compared to the same period last year, with year-to-date exports getting close to 300,000 sales.
For the third quarter of 2024, BYD’s NEV sales totaled a record 1,134,892 units. This is the first time the company has surpassed the million-unit mark in a single quarter. The strong performance has put BYD on track to easily exceed its annual sales target of 3 million vehicles for the year.
In September 2024, BYD achieved a total monthly sales of 419,426 New Energy Vehicles.
Recent milestones include the production of the 9 millionth NEV, the launch of the BYD SHARK in the Dominican Republic, and the introduction of the BYD YUAN PRO in Brazil.
